Disneyland resort reservations online versus phone in!

I saw online that they are having a good deal at the Disneyland Hotel during our trip next week. We were planning to stay off-site but decided to switch it to the Disneyland Hotel! Since I need 2 rooms I called to make reservtions and they quoted me a much higher rate even with my Annual Pass Discount than what I saw online ($75/night/room higher). When I questioned it, she said that was an online only rate and that I had to make my reservation online and then call tomorrow to get my rooms adjoining. I can't believe they can't give me that rate online. Or, their online reservation thing should allow you to book more than one room. Annoying!!! If I had pushed it would they have done it? Any experience with this?

Thanks,
Alison

Yeah that happened to us before too. We were quoted a much higher rate on the phone then online. But I also see online rates for even the offsite hotels that say you won't get if you call them. So I guess they all do that.

In speaking to some WDT agents, the rooms online are part of the package pool and when you call the hotel directly it is thier pool of rooms. They each get a specified number of rooms and cannot be swapped. The dates that I wanted show booked online, but when I call the hotel directly, they have rooms. Really wierd!
