We are in the early stages of planning a trip to Disneyland in 2011. I know all about how to find discounts on Disney World hotels but not for Disneyland hotels. Can you point me in the right direction?

We would like to stay at the Disneyland hotel.

Thanks.

How exciting! Read thru the tips on mousesaver.com
Consider purchasing 1 annual pass for someone in your group in order to get the AP hotel rates, dining discounts etc. Good Luck!

For 6 or 7 night stay which annual pass would you get? Also what is the annual pass discount on rooms? Is it a percentage or a set dollar amount? How far in advance can you book an annual pass discount room?

It depends when you are going. Each pass, except the Premium, have blockout days, and you wouldn't want to get one where some or most of your days are blocked out.

Right now, however, the 6 day park hopper is $199, while the lowest pass is $329 (unless you are a SoCal resident). So you might be better off not getting one.

You can get hotel discounts about three months in advance. I don't believe it is a set %.

I just called today and there are no discounts for 2011 yet. They quoted me only 10% off hotel rates with my AAA and Annual Pass for my October trip but if you ask the staff will always tell you about the discounts running so I was able to get 30% off rack rate from a fall special. Good Luck!

My advice is.....patience!! I was tempted to buy an annual pass for the discount, but 10% didn't seem to entice me enough. I'm glad I waited!! Our trip is just seven weeks out, and I was able to take advantage of the 30% fall discount. It seems that once a promotion ends, another will soon follow. You can always book a hotel room as a guarantee, and then cancel that reservation (you have five days before the date).

Read and research and enjoy every detail you discover - it's almost as much fun as the actual vacation!!

This is one of the biggest differences between Florida and California. Nothing in California is more than 3-4 months out. Lucky to a schedule 6 weeks out, rather than 4-6 months in Florida.

Also watch Costcotravel.com they have the same deals as from Disney directly with a few extra bonuses usually.

I am noticing that nothing is too far out. I guess I like to plan farther out then that but I will just have to wait.

I am not a Costco member. Cann I still use Costcotravel.com?
