DisneyLand Resort Express?

Can I take this to get to a hotel across from Disneyland? (Park Vue Inn). Also, is it easy and reliable? TIA!

It's run by Grayline, not by Disneyland, so yes you can take it to all sorts of hotels in the area! We found it to be easy and reliable.

The ONLY glitch is that there is at least one other company that *pretends* to be them at the airports, and someone reported that they even carry a Grayline DE brochure to say they are the same cost (I imagine if you were a bit far away and only saw the brochure you might think they were Grayline DE, and I know I could barely hear anything at LAX so even if they were *stating* that they were not them I might not have heard them).

Therefore, pre-paying online and having that printed voucher is a good idea...we had one bus stop and they were kinda sorta saying they were Disney Express (hmm), but once I pulled that voucher out and yelled (is this you?) you'd have thought I pulled garlic on a vampire. They said no, got in the bus, and drove away.

The DE bus was good and efficient; I'm just glad I'd pre-paid and had that voucher to ward off the sneaks!

We've used them 3 times and plan on using them again on our next trip. As Bumbershoot mentioned, there is another company that is going by the same name, so when you're boarding at the airport, make sure it is the big Disneyland Express bus run by Grayline. There was another company with "Disney Express" or "Disneyland Express" on it that had pulled up nearby the curb where we were all waiting. I can see how someone could easily get on that thinking it was the DE if they didn't ask. The one that we saw was a smaller vehicle, like a van, and not a large bus like DE, so we knew it wasn't them because of our previous experiences with them. On your return trip, they might use a Coach America bus to take you to DLH and then switch you to a DE bus, so make sure you look in the front window of the bus if it says Coach America on the side. They will have a small sign in the front window that says Disneyland Express. We didn't see the small sign in front and we didn't know that Grayline used Coach America busses, so we literally "missed the bus" because of that.....LOL

Now that sounds scary !! I saw the movie shuttle and ok, thaqt move scared me. do both buses have the disenyaldn logo and picture on it to? wow Im hoping I never get on the wrong bus

I don't think that if you're aware of the situation that you could get on the wrong bus. I think there might be a possibility only if someone didn't know what the DE busses look like and what to look for. The DE busses are the only ones with the Disney pictures on them, so they are easy to spot. The vehicle that we saw from a company with a similar name wasn't a bus. It was a van so it was very different from the DE busses. I think the confusion might come when someone doesn't know what the DE busses look like and then might get on the van that has the same type of business name. The confusion for us came when we were at the hotel leaving for the airport and I expected the same DE bus with the characters to be picking us up. Since they use Coach America busses to pick people up and then switch busses to bring you to the airport, I didn't know it was DE and we didn't get on. You will be fine as long as you know what to look for.

The DE bus that took us from SNA to GCH had no Disney characters or logos. It was a plain white bus. We had reserved online with Grayline so we had the vouchers for our trip. Our trip from SNA was not a good one. As I had posted earlier, our driver took us through a residential area and told us it was a route other drivers did not use. The return trip was much shorter and a more pleasant trip with a better driver.

Our bus from LAX was not the one with the character "wrap" either. Just plain white. Looked pretty much like the faker bus! Except when I flashed my voucher he was happy to have us on board, unlike the faker guy.

I saw that small shuttle too with disneyland express on it...sneaky sneaky!

But now you're aware of the sneakiness, and you'll get the voucher, at least for your trip from the airport. (you save a buck or to that way, too)

I remember that too. She (or he) had to pay twice because they had already paid for their trip with the real DE, then they had to pay again since they weren't on the DE, but the copycat shuttle. I felt so bad for that person. Yes, there can be some sneaky companies out there trying to cheat unwitting "tourists". Glad we have this board so we can all warn each other of things like this. That's interesting that you had a plain white bus from DE. I've never seen those before. No wonder it would be hard to tell the real ones from the copycats......That makes total sense. I guess I was assuming that any confusion would come from people not knowing what the regular DE busses would look like. I know what the regular "character" ones look like, but I would have no idea what was real if they used a white one.

We used it for our trip last year, we weren't onsite (we stayed at the HoJo). They were on time & helpful, We were very pleased with the service

A little off topic:

Is the Disneyland Hotel the first dropoff for the Disneyland Resort Express bus? Or, does it stop at other hotels first. I understand that for the return trip to LAX, the Disneyland Hotel stop is last.

In the past I have had good success with SuperShuttle, but this time I am traveling with two children who would need car seats. I don't want to bring theirs just for the ride to/from the airport, so I am thinking that the Disneyland Resort Express is my only option. Is this correct, or does SuperShuttle have car seats for kids? What about a cab? I want the fastest possible trip to the resort and wouldn't mind paying a few $$ more to get there more quickly.

On our DE trip from SNA, Paradise Pier was the first drop, followed by Disneyland Hotel, and last was GCH. On the return to SNA, we were picked up and told initially that we'd need to transfer buses at DLH, but the LAX passengers were the ones who changed buses instead. DLH was the last stop on the return to SNA.
