Disneyland Park Priority Seating

I know that one can make a priority seating at Blue Bayou.

BUT... can you also make a PS at Carnation Cafe and Cafe Orleans?

I'm going to Disneyland for the first time on July 17 and would like to make a PS for dinner.

Since you are going during peak summer season I would make reservations to garauntee that you have a seat. To make reservations call Disney Dining at (714) 781-DINE They take reservations starting 60 days prior to your trip. I would totally jump on the reservation list as soon as you can.

Yep, those are the other two table service restaurants in DL park. There's others in CA, and in DTD. Check allears.net for menus, etc. : http://allears.net/dlr/din/dining.htm which says, "You can make your Priority Seating for all Disney and Downtown Disney restaurants EXCEPT Rainforest Cafe by calling 714-781-DINE (3463) up to 60 days in advance."

Can someone tell me what priority seating is? Is it not the same as making a reservation?

We are coming to Disneyland in September. Do we need to make reservations at all the restaurants we want to eat at before we go? Can we not just book when we get there?

Priority Seating means you get the next available table after your PS time - so they don't hold a table for you like they would for a reservation, but you check in 15 minutes or so ahead of your PS time, and get seated somewhere around the time you planned for.

For the busy restaurants like Blue Bayou, a PS really helps cut down on wait times. We have called & made a PS for the same night or the next night while there in September before, but if you are planning ahead anyway, it is nice to have them made ahead of time.
