How hard is it to get a room here through DVC?
Thinking of adding it on to trip to Italy this summer.

Has anyone been? Reviews?

Thanks!

I went last year. It was easy to do on points.

However, there are some changes for this year. I believe there is a booking fee involved, and you would have to buy park tickets separately. I suggest looking it up in the DVC literature to make sure what is included and what you would need to plan to pay for.

We stayed at DLP on points back in 2001 and really liked it. It wasn't hard then to stay on points, don't know about now though. We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and really liked it. They had the California Grill there, and another restaurant which I can't remember the name of. Breakfast then was free, don't know about now though, and it was reallllly good. We also got LOS tickets free, but I beleive that has been discontinued. Our room was on the first floor, backside of the resort. From our patio, we could see the private park entrance for hotel guests. We would walk down the hall, out the exit doors and we were right at the park enterence. Very easy and nice! They also had just outside the hotel front enterence an American Express money exchange booth to change currency into Euro's or Franc's, which they were still using at the time.

One of the Paris Metro lines terminates there next to the Disneyland Hotel, so going into Paris and site seeing was very easy. We did this several times. You could buy single or multi-day city pass on the Metro and off you would go!! They were still working on the new MGM Studios while we were there so it wasn't open yet.

DTD had a dinner show call Buffulo Bill's Wide West Show if it's still there. It's simular to Medieval Times show or Dolly Pardon's show. We've seen them all, and I beleive that the Buffulo Bill show was far better. The live hurd of buffulo, about 20 of them, played a big roll in the show.

Have a wonderful time!

We went last November. We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel on points, and I think I only booked a month out. At the time, we were given length of stay passes to both parks for 3 nights. Plus free breakfast at the hotel every morning, and 1 extra Fast Pass per person.

Now, you'll need to pay the $95 booking fee, PLUS you need to purchase the length of stay passes through MS before they'll confirm the room. This means if you are staying for 2 nights, you must buy passes for 3 days for everyone in the room. The good news is that at least the points have gone down.

Check out the DLRP forum for lots of good info. :thumbsup2

ETA: Defintely worth the trip! If you don't go this summer, November is a good time. We went during the week, so there were no crowds and the parks were all decorated for Christmas!

I must be a Disney nut. I have to be in Pais for business in May and was maybe going to add a day to my trip to sightsee there before coming home (I've been there before.) This thread though has me thinking about spending the extra day at Disneyland instead! :cool1: I've never been to the one in Paris.

Before our DisneyCruise last summer in the Med, we flew to Paris for a couple of day. We used our points to stay at the Sequioa Lodge. It was 54 points per night and included the park tickets and continental breakfast. I believe Motel 6 had nicer rooms and the SL was considered a moderate (grounds were very nice on the outside). The Disneyland Hotel looked beautiful on the outside so if you have the points, you will probably be happier there.
