I thought I'd ask my questions on this board to get your point of view.

I was wondering what you thought of DLP and how it compared to MK and MGM in WDW?

I lived in the UK (Bath and London) for 4 years, and have a lot of family in the West Country.

I was thinking about perhaps heading over to Paris (I also have friends in Paris and I do speak French) and perhaps going to DLP.

How does it compare? How is it as an overall experience by comparison to WDW?

I have heard that it is really beautiful, but wonder how it is different especially in light of the people.

(I can't imagine the French queuing).

I go with the "they shouldn't really be compared because they are two different experiences" crowd. Disneyland Paris is very beautiful, with wonderful theming. It is also compact - making it nice and easy to get between the hotels and parks. It misses out on the sheer vastness of WDW, but it is still a wonderful short-break destination.

With regards to the queueing, the only area it became a problem for us was when lining up to see the characters. In fact, there was no line - just a huge scrum of people pushing to get to the front. They really need to introduce a queueing system for the character interactions.

its a beautiful park but imho it doesnt compare to WDW...
and its so much more expensive.
The up side is its much closer than WDW..

We always describe it as Disney without the "Magic"

Having said that Ive had good trips there.. but since we went to WDW we have not been back to Paris.

It is a beautiful park and I agree with everyone who says that you should not compare to any other Disney park, just appreciate each park on its own merits.


The queueing for the characters can be a bit of a scrum however there is some organised lines for some character like Mickey, Minnie and the princesses and at all the on site Disney hotels.

i found the mad scrum with the disney charecters a pain also last year when i went the only place you queued for was with the incredibles which you don't mind but with the other charecters i found my six year old son was getting ignored by the other more pushy and older children who were thrusting themselves in front off the charecters with their books and for photos.Woody was trapped in a corner and bumped into my son but that got the crowd cleared and a autograph and photo opp for my son who was also dressed as woody was really chuffed at this as you see us brits don't mind queueing but the french have not quite grasped the concept of this idea
