Sad, this is why lockout tagout procedures should always be followed. I hope his family is doing well, and I hope he was the type who,enjoyed his job. I'd hate for him to been the person who was working up to his dream role and didn't achieve it.

And the attraction is the Phantom Manor. Not the HM, both attractions are different.

Disneyland Paris Employee Found Dead In Phantom Manor Haunted House (From the Huffington Post):

He is believed to have died by electric shock while working on the attraction.

French authorities are investigating the death of a Disneyland Paris worker whose body was found inside the park’s Phantom Manor haunted house on Saturday.

Another employee found the 45-year-old technician’s body around 10 a.m. on Saturday, just before the park was scheduled to open, Sky News reported.

A spokesman for a local prosecutor told the outlet that the man may have died accidentally by electric shock.

“We are truly saddened to learn of the passing of one of our Cast Members, and our hearts go out to his family and friends during this very difficult time,” the park said in a statement sent to The Huffington Post on Monday.

When I went thru Gunner's Mate A School at Great Lakes they stressed lockout tagout procedure all the time. It is a necessary task to make sure no one gets hurt. Whether this was a slip up or just not tagged, sadly it sounds like this could have been prevented by following proper maintenance procedures.
