I just called Member Services and they said they now have point charts for Disneyland
Paris Hotels for 2002. The points include admission to both parks!
I had her read to me the points for the first week in September 2002 and they did not seem to
different from September 2001.

With both park admissions included in the points, it seems like a good use of points to me.

It also worked when I went earlier this year that you get passes for the day you arrive and the day of departure (i.e. a one night stay is 2 days of passes, two nights=3 days of passes etc) I thought it was a good deal.

Hope you get to enjoy it as it is A LONG WAY from California LOL

After calling Member Services again, I have learned that they only have DVC points for DLP
through March 2002. After that you will have to wait for them to negotiate again!
What gives? Oh well, I thought I should update this post for everyone.

Larry, Disneyland Paris has two parks? I have never read about anything except one and we are going in 3 weeks! Please give me all the info..... thanks.

Disneyland Paris currently has one park - Disneyland Paris theme park. Similar to Disneyland Park and the Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom. Next April the Walt Disney Studios Theme Park will open. It will be similar, but not identical to the Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park. You can find more about this park at Mouseplanet.com or possibly Laughingplace.com
I hope this helps.

Thanks so much for the information. I do now remember reading something about an upcoming studio park. Oh well, we will just enjoy the one park this trip. Thanks again Larry.

We stayed in London at the Royal Garden Hotel next to Kensington Palace and then took the Eurostar train right into DLP from London and stayed 5 days there all on points, it was great, we originally had reservation for the Disneyland Hotel but they we overbooked and offered us a one-bedroom suite in Hotel New york, which we took, it gave us a room similar to a one-bedroom DVC unit but without the kitchen but also an added half bath for the kids in the living room, and we liked it tremedously, plus the location was much better, it is very spooky walking from the DLH over to the Disney Village at night past the train station, in the dimly lit area., it's dead over there after the parks close.

That would be really cool if "park hoppers" would be included in the DLP stays.
We're planning to go for the opening if it's possible.

Did you get a date till when the charts are for??? There still isn't an official opening date, speculation is that it will be earlier than planned as the winter brochures only show dates up till March 20 instead of April which is the norm.
