Disneyland Paris AP a clue to Disneyland's Future AP Program?

I find it interesting that Disneyland Paris re-opened later than Disneyland and will now start selling their APs again.


It doesn't look like the former MaxPass (now being called Disney Premier Access) is included in the Infinity tier.
What's a bit alarming is that there are different prices for an individual ride.

"Rev up your visit, from €8 to €15!**
Wait less, do more... whizz between attractions and pack even more into your day!
**Price per Guest and attraction, varies according to attraction and day of visit."

What's interesting is the reserved entrance for passholders. I recall Disneyland surveys asking that same question. It appears they're going to try that in Paris.

I’m confused.
Is the premier access like max pass where you get it on the app? So are they saying that how much you pay for premier access depends on which rides you basically want a Fastpass for?
I’m not being very articulate ...

this seems unnecessarily complicated.

Wow… a per request fee for something like MaxPass…. That could be wildly interesting (horrible for guests, possibly amazing for profits…)

There’s been a cost associated with fastpasses at DLP for years so I wouldn’t read too much into their “pay per ride” system. It’s just a change from what they do now, which is paying for a group of ride fastpasses, be it 3, 6 or all of them. Their fastpass system is more like Universals Express Pass than MaxPass at DL. Check their website and you’ll see how much different their fastpass system is and how much cheaper park tickets are at DLP.

I‘ll give you my guess fwiw. MaxPass will start at $29 which allows you to get a FP in one park once for each ride. For 2 parks it will be $39. The ability to get unlimited FP’s will be an extra $10 to $20. PhotoPass may or may not be included.

I think that’s about as bad as it will get.

I have an Infinity pass at Disneyland Paris since the introduction. The private AP entrance is not new, we have had that since the introduction of the new tiers in 2018(?). It's definitely one I enjoy. It's not really necessary, but it's a nice extra. During the closure they do have installed better entrance gates to scan the guests quicker, so the benefit is a bit devalued, but nonetheless, every second saved is one!
It's the one benefit we use on every visit, next to VIP seating for the parade and fireworks.

We never had Maxpass or similar version in Paris, and therefore also not included in the AP. We do have a Photopass included with Infinity.
There is no news yet if Premier Access will be included in the APs, but I do not expect it. The Infinity card is 500 euro a year, which is expensive, but not outrageous.

Till the Covid closure we had free paper fastpasses, and there were paid options available next to that. 1. Ride all FP rides once, 2. Ride all FP rides unlimited and 3. Kiddie FP rides / Coaster FP rides (I think, I don't really remember this last one)
Disneyland Paris only has 8 FP rides, and the costs of €8-15 euro per ride sort of equals that for option 1.
