We have been to DLR a couple of times before and booked the hotel directly (HoJo first time and Candy Cane 2nd time)- we had a AP that we got 2 uses out of.

This time we are buying 5 day hopper tickets - a new experience. I was going to book separately wanting to go to Candy Cane again but room only prices dont seem to be out yet for next September. Then looked at prices with DLR directly and Dreams Unlimited as a package - coming out same price for both of these.

Do you think it is cheaper booking as a package than waiting for room only prices? The deposit of $200 wont be an issue. Are there any other advantages?

Wondered why people book with Dreams when booking directly with DLR is the same price.

With DL packages I think most packages come out to about the same price as purchasing everything separately. They throw in free parking or toon town mania tickets for free. I personally like making all of the reservations separately, since that way you don't have to put down a deposit.

No more Toon Town Morning Madness after 1/31/2013. But I agree. I like to keep my mind open to the possibility that either option (bulk or separately) could be cheaper.

Thanks - I looked at Candy Cane room only prices for end of January - thinking they might be a similar rate to September (off season). When added to cost of tickets, it is coming out at about $40 cheaper buying a package. Perhaps it is becuase we are going a little longer - 9 nights.

I actually priced DLH and parkhopper tickets separately and as a package for our upcoming trip. It was about $250 more as a package (both through DL and through a travel agent). I asked the travel agent what you get for that $250 and the answer was basically TT madness early admission and Aladdin priority seating... I booked separate.

I hace checked Disney, Costco, dreams unlimited and getaway today. The best prices I have found are with getaway today. Slot of their hotels have free days.

We always book thru GAT! Prices are lower, they have ALL the hotels, PLUS, they have a Piece if mind Plan. You can cancel up to 3 days before your trip with NO penalty.
