Disneyland or WDW?

So Agree!!! I love Epcot I've already figured out how Disney can add Epcot to DLR. Of course all those convenient hotels across Harbor Blvd from the DLR entrance would have to go along with Garden Walk, but that's going bankrupt anyway, so what's to stop them. Let's start a petition

Well I can really reply to this but I will be that I have been to Disneyland. But I am going soon but WDW is great have been going since I was two years and and we go atleast 3 times a year sp I have been alot. Can anyone tell me about go good spots to hit in disneyland and some secrets stuff I can see.

Your question is a bit confusing since WDW is not a park. It is a resort. DL is a park. DL is part of Disneyland Resort (DLR). So I think your question is really which resort is better not which park is better.
If the question is which resort has the best park, as noted above, Disneyland the park is better than Magic Kingdom in WDW.

Yes. I agree with this FULLY. We took my 2 little girls with us to WDW last Christmas; and while I loved it, it was not something I need to do again any time soon. If it had been an adult-only trip, I probably would have felt differently.

Disneyland has more rides than Magic Kingdom and is just better planned. (Serriously - there's a corner near BTMR that goes absolutly NO WHERE!) However, I think my favorite park is Epcot or Animal Kingdom. While these parks are huge, there are rides in there that are simply amazing. And the shows are really amazing. Lion King, in AK, is probably my favorite show out of all the US Parks.

But DCA can't compare (even with Cars land) to AK or Epcot. Those two are so much more and better than what DCA has. So, to put it a different way, when comparing the two resorts, WDW is better. But if you compare Disneyland to MK, then Disneyland is better.

We've been to Disneyland several times, and just took our first WDW trip in September 2011. They are just very different experiences..both unique. While I never thought I'd ever hear myself say this..I actually prefer WDW as an overall experience. It felt much more like a "vacation' to us. from the moment we landed in Orlando, taking the Magical Express, having our luggage delivered right to our hotel(we did stay on site..which was actually cheaper than any of the motels we have ever stayed at in Disneyland). We are a family of 6 and had the free dining plan, which I WISH DL offered!! So our 10 day WDW trip was actually cheaper than the 7 day DL trip we took the year before. Although, we did miss Indiana Jones and the Matterhorn at DL..also we found Pirates to be so much better at DL..as well as SPlash Mountain. WDW is truly like another "world". Alot more to see and do, IMO.
But..on the other hand..DL is the original, and there is definately something about it that is more charming than the MK. So I guess for us..if we want a "vacation"..WDW is for us. If we want a little holiday "getaway"..its DL!

I have been to WDW about 6 times and Disneyland many times being a California resident and I can confidently say Disneyland is the better park due to the fact that it is more compact. The big goal for WDW was to feel excluded from the world, which you definitely are, but Disneyland has done such a great job with their landscaping making it seem like a whole new world away from the regular world. Going from park to park in Disneyland can shatter the illusion a little, but the parks are so close together making it easy to "park hop" in one day rather than planning your whole day at one park in WDW. All of the parks in WDW feel like they are missing the character and detail that are put into the Disneyland parks, because there is so much space and twice as many parks. WDW is great though if you can set aside 2 weeks, because that's how long it takes to really enjoy the resort, where at Disneyland you can do everything there in a good 2 or 3 days.

I am looking for hidden stuff. Like disney built an apartment over the firehouse in magic kingdom for walts family and himself but he never got to say in it cause he passed way before the magic kingdom was opened. Just wanting to see if disney land had any hidden secrets.

"Disneyland" has an appartment over the firehouse that Walt use to stay in with his family. From what i understand Walt was going to have an apartment built for him in the castle at the MK in Florida but of course he didn't live to see it.

It's more fair to compare Magic Kingdom and Disneyland. I've never been, but I know people who grew up going to WDW and they actually prefer Disneyland over TMK there.

Thing is Disneyland was designed originally as one park (two parks now) and they made use of the limited space the best they could but WDW was designed from the get go to make use of all the extra space it has, literally MILES of space. Disneyland has more attractions in one location because space is so limited they had too pack things in to keep people coming back where as WDW spread their attractions around 4 huge parks. So if you just compare Disneyland VS the Magic Kingdom in Florida, Disneyland actually has a big advantage because there are more attractions in that one park. But the fact is when people go to WDW they go for the whole experience of being surrounded by Disney magic 24/7, they don't just go to the one park, the Magic Kingdom. So i think comparing the Disneyland park to only the Magic kingdom at WDW is unrealistic. NOBODY just goes to the Magic kingdom when they go to WDW, the Magic Kingdom is only one of 4 major parks, 2 major water parks, several world class golf courses, Down Town Disney and Pleasure Island and an amazing amount of special highly themed resort hotels, places to eat and entertainment. Bottom line is both parks are awesome but people get different experiences when they visit DL or WDW. I'm actually going back to DL in 3 months, I can't wait, i love DL, but IMO comparing DL park by itself to the Magic kingdom by iteslf is simply unrealistic.

I know disney land has an apartment in the new orleans area

I live in So Cal and the other parks in Disney World, with as many have posted, a big love for Epcot. The MK, however, is fine, but not nearly as great as DLR. This year our kids chose to skip MK since they perfer DLR...we did Epcot 3 days, DHS a day, and AK a day..and a pool day. I love the being in the "world" so we go to WDW..but if it was just MK we would probably skip it.
