Hi, im going to visit anaheim for two days on sunday may 7th & monday may 8th, i was planning to go to DCA on sunday since disneyland is going to be more crowded on sunday, and monday we would be going to disneyland; i Also thought about getting the hopper for visiting both parks on sunday, and going to disneyland again on monday, but it is $180 extra for me my husband and my kids(3yo & 4yo) is it worth it? Or is one day enough for disneyland?

I don't think you can really say that one day is "enough" for Disneyland, but I do think that it's possible to get a fair amount done in one-day depending on what you want to do the most. You'll need to prioritize what you want to do (which attractions, which shows, which characters, etc.) because there is no way to do everything in one day (or even two). Normally, I'm a big fan of park hoppers, but given the ages of your children it might not make that much sense for you to invest that much money in hoppers.

Operating hours for both parks are longer on Sunday (8-midnight for DL and 9am-10pm for DCA) than Monday (9am-10pm for DL and 10am-9pm for DCA). So if your family can make it until closing, you could have a couple of hours in DL after DCA closes on Sunday if you had hoppers. The other major difference is that fireworks in DL are only presented on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during that timeframe. So if you wanted to see fireworks, you'd need to be able to enter DL on Sunday. WoC and MSEP are presented nightly.

the age of your children will not make a park hopper worthwhile. What you need to do, is plan afternoons while the children are napping, to ride the E tickets, gather fast pass for attractions to ride whild children are napping or to even use later into the evening while one adult is at the lodging with the sleeping children and the other adult can take in the E attractions with scary and darkness.

My family wouldn't go without hoppers, and that includes a trip with a 3 year old. Bottom line -- you're going to have a great time regardless. If the $180 isn't going to hurt you or cause serious sacrifices elsewhere in the trip, I say go for it.

I would not purchase hoppers in your case. The $180 could be put to better use including a possible character meal on a travel day (non park day) at one of the hotels. I would just do one day at each park. The year we went without APs we bought non hopper tickets. There is too much to see at Disneyland in one day, but really it will take an entire day to visit either park. Park hopping takes time, and with kids everything takes longer. You will just need to prioritize your days and decide which rides are most important. You can use FP and rider swap to your advantage when it comes to riding the big rides without kids. I will also note that for another $100 total you could buy three day tickets (non hopping) and get a magic morning with an extra day in the park. Not sure how your traveling to/from days are but just something to consider. Have a great trip!
