Disneyland on July 4

Is anyone aware of any big events at Disneyland for the Fourth of July?
Also, how crowded can we expect it to be? This is our first time here and will be there from July 3 - 5. We are staying at the Paradise Pier Hotel - is it possible to get the SAP there for our son? We have a note from two of his doctors.

Other then the fireworks show I am not sure of anything special at the resort.
