Disneyland On-Hold Phone Music

I called Disneyland Dining today to schedule a character breakfast and when she put me on hold I was treated to the music of the "Carousel of Progress" from WDW.

Just wondering why they would have WDW music on the DL phone line .. or is the CoP music present in DL somewhere? I kind of hope it is, it is catchy and if you've been to CoP it is fun to hear again.

Don't assume that's WDW music.

Disneyland once had a CoP too before there was a MK in Florida.

Was it "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow," by the Sherman Brothers? "It's a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day. There's a great big beautiful tomorrow, headed right this way!"

If so, yes, historically that is from Carousel of Progress, but at Disneyland it is now what Tom Morrow sings when you enter Innoventions... which is where Carousel of Progress used to be.

The telephone hold music is shared across Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, and is used in common by the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, as well as by other Disney Parks destinations.

OK, then that makes sense! They way they keep reminding you that you've called Disneyland "in Southern California", I thought it was a DL-only line.

Yes, that's the song! CoP was the first attraction we went to the first time we went to WDW, so it has a special place for us. I know some people don't care for it, be our family really likes it. I wish CoP was still at DL ... but at least we'll get to hear the song in Innoventions.
