Disneyland new gun rule

.....well maybe not in 2016, but the shooting gallery will be displaced, first by culture example and then STarwars land will need a customer service facility for purchasing tickets, securing fast passes and admittance tickets into starwars land, so what would make for a place far, far away then the empty shooting gallery

Since no one has to buy tickets for Carsland or Tomorrowland or Fantasyland, where do you get the idea Star Wars land will be different?? I can't imagine it not being included in admission to DL!

Perhaps because they are or can be obnoxious, and or potentially threatening.

A bright orange Han Solo blaster feels threatening to you?

Standing right now waiting for Jedi/Temple. Storm troopers just walked by, brandishing large weapons. Since I know that SW Stormtroopers aren't real, and their blasters aren't real, I do not feel threatened. I feel more threatened by a bubble wand (bc bubble solution is generally based on corn syrup, which acts as a sort of poison to DH and DS if it's ingested, and because it makes things slippery) than by a Boba Fett blaster.

Kids can be obnoxious with anything.

IMHO, I think the whole thing is dumb. Also, how is a TOY gun potentially threatening? And I know a lot of you didn't like the bubble guns, but I thought they were fun.
It's not that toy guns are dangerous. It's because a toy gun looks like a real gun under a blanket or in a pocket (outline/shape), so banning toy guns makes it easier for security to ascertain what a gun-shaped object is because there will be fewer gun-shaped objects in the park to investigate.

I am referring to toy guns in general. I haven't seen the bright orange toy guns in the parks. And no, can't say I would feel threatend by them. If someone is being obnoxious or annoying using these toys, then a CM needs to take care of the situation.
I like high fructose corn syrup. It is tasty. :)

So...

Since the Bubble Guns I paid a gazillion dollars for last year (Yeah, exaggeration, but still...) are not welcome into the park now, I have one question...

Are the bubble wands automatic or those waveable kind? We're one of those obnoxious families that takes full advantage of bubbles while waiting for parades.

I think this conversation has run its course - closing the thread. (this doesn't happen often in our corner of the DIS, but some of the comments are over the top and inappropriate for a trip planning board)
