Howdy!

Does anyone know if May park hours for Disneyland are posted anywhere? We are WDW veterans who are planning to visit Disneyland in May.

Thanks.

All the best. :thumbsup2

Not quite yet :) Disneyland takes a bit longer to post their hours than WDW. Right now they have only posted the hours through the end of March. They usually post hours about 6 weeks in advance, with the entertainment schedule not filled out completely until about 4 weeks out. Wait another couple of weeks and you'll get your May hours.

Thanks for your quick and informative reply.

It's only our third trip to Disneyland (1990 and 2008) and we wanted to have the info on hours handy in advance so we could use our limited time as efficiently as possible, especially regarding dining reservations.

No matter, though, we'll just book everything and go with the flow.

Hours should be out 60 days in advance. At DLR you can make dining reservations 60 days out too.

While May usually has shorter hours, sometimes closing at 5pm but usually 10-8, 9-8 or 9-10 weekdays and 8-12 weekends, DCA usually 10-8 and 10-10 on weekends, this year things are likely to be different. I'm interesting to see how they turn out and here is why, Grad Nites. These previously closed the park in the evening, opened earlier and canceled Magic Mornings and the next day because they went all night. This year the Grad Parties are from 11-3, so may extend the park hours to 10, and won't affect the operations the next morning.

Grad Nites are scheduled for the folowing dates.
10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31.

We assume that those aforementioned Grad Nites are in May, yes? If so, we're good to go: we fly out of LAX for home on 5/10.

Well I hope your right about the grad night hours. I had no idea about grad night till now and we are goin to be in the parks on the 29th, 30th and 31st. I will not be happy if we have to leave the parks at like 5. But 9 I'm ok with. My DD (3) will be ready to crash by then if she doesn't before then.

Sorry the 5pm closing was for other special events, on party nights it closed at 9pm. In the past Disneyland grad nights started at 11pm, so the park closed at 9pm to get everyone out and the party went to 6am. The grads used to all come in waves, buses queued up and in groups went to the park.

Now Grads get a park hopper for the day and thier private party is from 11pm to 3am. So being that the grads party doesn't start until 11 and they have park tickets, the parks can't close to clear everyone out again since the grads will already be there, rather than be waiting in a remote location.

Yes those are the party dates for May. Like I said about 60 days, in a few weeks you can call Dining Reservations and if the hours are posted online, the reservation agents will know since people will be able to book breakfast at park opening and late dinners.

Ok that makes me happier hearing the parks won't be closing to clear everyone out. I am a HS teacher so I can deal with loads of teenagers being there. I just don't want to have to leave the park early because they are there.
