Hello all! I'm new to the West Coast and I've never been to DL!!! I am currently pregnant with our first child due in January and I would love to do a Maternity photoshoot at Disneyland. I know at Disney World they have photopass shoots I just wasnt sure if this is something that they offer at DL? Thanks for your help!

I called a little while ago about doing a family one and was told that DL does not have the photopass staff to do the private sessions like WDW:sad1:

This is largely in part because Disneyland allows outside photographers whereas WDW does not:)

I did a honeymoon shoot there earlier this year and just recently did a family shoot there as well. If you do some research you can find many shoots, but for example here is ours from early September:)

It was a blast!

What great pictures not to mention the fact Disneyland is a perfect backdrop to inspire some genuine smiles! Love the first one!!! Thanks for sharing.

If you dont mind me asking how much was it? I didnt even think of this possiblity and you have given me hope :goodvibes

Thanks for the info! We did a photoshoot last year at the Polynesian and loved them and we got married at Shades of Green so I figured it would be awesome just to have our new bundle of joy documented in true disney fashion :goodvibes

It was $300(standard prices for family, baby, maternity, engagement, etc). There are MANY local LA photographers though, so do research on your preference of style (we love Sarina though!) . DL allows any photographers in however I doubt tri pods are ok. Have fun!

Hi there!

These are very nice pictures, thank you for sharing! Tri-pods are ok inside the Parks, but not allowed in DTD.

Hope this helps,

Wow, those are some great shots! Were you able to do it when the park wasn't open to the public or were you just really lucky not getting anyone else in the background?

The only pre-opening shoots they do are for Disneyland brides - you still bring/pay your own photographer and pay a $3,000 fee. All others must be during open hours. However, if you go at opening and during really low times, you can get nearly no one in the background. There are lots of great local photographers, so you can find someone who fits your style too... I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on photography sessions at WDW, so I think of that as a benefit.

We went during hotel EMH to DCA (where a lot of those shots were) and since everyone was in carsland it looks empty lol! We then headed over to DL around normal opening time for those ones.

Our honeymoon shoot earlier this year was done at opening and was in DL only. Here's the link for those ones since I forgot to link it in my PP:

Both shoots took about 1.5 hours:) so much fun!

Those are beautiful too! Thanks so much for sharing your pictures and the great information!

Did the $300 just include the 'sitting' fee? Did you need to purchase individual photos or a disk? How was the photographer able to enter during EMH with you?

We are doing family pictures in a couple of weeks here at home. If for some reason they aren't awesome, then this is definitely something that we'd want to look into.

Thanks for sharing!

The price was all inclusive and included pictures on a disc with chosen ones edited. Google Disneyland engagement shoots, family, etc and you'll find many photographers who have done this before and will give you an idea of style. Most have prices and details on their website:)

As for EMH, we booked her in our hotel room for our entire stay so she had a room key for entry. With only 4 of us it was easy. If this hadn't have worked (like when we went earlier this year) we went at opening and it was fine.

Keep in mind that you will need to pay for DL/DCA park entrance and parking for your photographer if needed:)
