Disneyland maintenance issues?

Does anyone know what the issue is in DL and DCA - over the past two days weve seen a large number of outages on rides. Just today in DCA RSR went down at least twice, Calif. Screamin, Zephyr were down, DisneyJR they couldn't guarantee the show would go on as scheduled and Soarin' was down to one functional unit.

Is it maintenance or is there something else amiss in SoCal?

The most common reason RSR goes down is guests losing things out of the car onto the race track.
, Calif. Screamin,
California Screamin' generally goes down when the braking system backs up. By that I mean, you get a couple trains that slow load, and the trains cascade into previous brake areas. This causes the ride to stop and has to be reset.
Zephyr were down
Zephyr is usually called by wind.

This sounds like a maintenance issue.

Often during nonpeak times, they do only run one side.

Malcon10t caught the typical reasons the rides go down... It seems like a lot, but sometimes these things happen. Nothing nefarious, beyond that pesky element of human error, Mother Nature, and, occasionally the DL/DCA clean-up for the 60th, which is affecting some rides as well.

Thanks for some insight. Just found it odd that things kept going down...

I thought RSR was maintenance because they called out the guys in blue (maintenance) when they shut down the ride yesterday (at least twice.)

The Soarin issue was not due to non-peak times. They shut down the standby line when it was showing 55 min wait and were only loading fastpasses. Once they reopened standby it had jumped to 70 min. Yesterday was definitely a peak time.

Another example: Pirates is closed due to technical difficulties. We're to check back later.

Last trip, someone's hat flew off and fell in the slot. Needed maintenance to get it.

Pirates went down today because the que line gate got stuck. I was 50 feet from the front of the line. They got it fixed quick though. Maybe 10-15 min.

Stinks that it happened but I did notice they got it opened again. However the line seems to stretch forever now. I'm amazed how they snake the queue through the path along the way to Critter Country!

RSR was stalled twice while we were there. Once, we got held up in line for about 10 minutes. Never heard what happened. The second time, we had just loaded into the car and had to wait about 10 minutes. I kept hearing something about a door not closing. But it was fixed and the show went on. But I was very worried. No one wants to wait or get that valuable FP and then get slammed.

As for the Zephyr going down, it could be down for two hours and the line would only grow to about 20. ;)
