Hi everyone,

I'm new here and have VERY much enjoyed reading the many many threads here.....SO helpful!! My family and I are going to Disney in 2 weeks :cool1: and I have a few questions:

1) My dh will be at a conference for the first three days we're there; am I totally stupid to attempt taking both of my boys to the park on my own (they are 4 years and 11 mos....)? Otherwise, is there anything else we can do for the first day (my in-laws and parents will be joining us on day 2). We're staying at the HOJO....

2) Will it be possible to take the baby on any rides at all? He has a limit to how long he enjoys watching from his stroller....

3) My oldest is about 42 inches tall; can he go on most of the rides? Specifically Splash Mountain? (I had a disagreement with my mom about this earlier today, lol)....

Thanks in advance everyone!!

Is it possible to get a ticket for Disneyland only? Or can you only buy park-hopper tickets? I'm thinking that we'll easily spend at least one full day in Disneyland alone so if I can shave off some $$ from tickets that would be great...

Thanks again,
Shantelle

Your 11 month old can go on quite a few rides. The ones he can't you wouldn't be going with your 4 yo anyways most likely. It would be a lot of work to take 2 by yourself. WOuld I do it?? OF course LOL.

And Yes you can buy a ticket for just DL. However if you plan on going with your family a few days later I would consider getting the Everyone Plays at Kids price tickets. A 3 day park hopper is only $129

Hi. We will be there some of the same days as you! My youngest is 40" tall and the only thing in Disneyland he cannot go on because of height is Indiana Jones. Space Mountain has a 40" height requirment (which surprised me cause WDW's Space is 44") but I won't be putting him on it. I think it would be a little to much for him especially it being in the dark. Splash Mountain is 40". (California Adventure has quite a few rides that my DS will be too short for.)
Basicly, the only tickets that are one park only are single day tickets. I don't think you would save money by buying multiple one day tickets. If you are interested in the everyone plays the kid price deal going on now that the previous posted mentioned, I think you have to order it in advance. I don't think you can get those at the gate. I do remember someone posting about ordering advance purchase tickets and being able to pick them up somewhere on property if you don't have time to get them sent to your house. Hopefully someone else can confirm if that is true and where it was.

I did three days with a 9 mo old, a 3 yr old and a 5 yr old. I just told my older kids that we couldn't do anything the baby couldn't do because I wasn't about to let them go on a ride without me! It was a great trip! We did lots of things we otherwise wouldn't have done because we weren't always riding rides - like going to storytime at the castle a couple of times. And back then they let me take my 9 mo old on the Matterhorn, but they don't allow that anymore.

Go for the 3 day ticket, as one park one day is $63.00

For SM a child would enjoy it. As it is not totally in the dark anymore as they have changed it to Rocket Mountain..

Red hot chili pepper music with lights and everything all around. Very cool..

My ds 5 who can be a sissy. went on it and loved it. He also went on TOT.. So go figure..
