Any body have good or bad experiences with this?

I'm trying to work through the guilt of doing this to my kids. I'll be on my own with the two (6 & 3 yo), and they'll be jetlagged from NYC. They'll be asleep at latest 7pm, but maybe earlier. I'll be jetlagged too, but I'll be willing to fight it for some time on my own in the park(s).

Challer, i didn't realize that you were on your own with the kids.

Beind a dad who's done DL three times (alone) with my DS (7,8 & 9 y/o) son, I think the babysitting idea is brilliant.

A few random thoughts:

- You're right, with the time change they'll be flaked out by 7 or 8pm.
- That evening you can rock the big rides.
- If i remember correctly, you'll be arriving on Sunday. Consider using each ticket to get a FP for YOU to use that evening (get a SM, an Indy & something else...maybe BTMRR).
- It will also give you a chance to really get your bearings on where things are etc. for your Monday & Tues. morning touring with the kids.

I hope you get that Hopper issue resolved favorably....with only you in charge (& since you might fly solo for a few hours) having a hopper would really come in handy.

Good Luck.

Thanks alot.

Yeah, the hopper issue will decide alot! I'm almost tempted to blow the passports & just get a 3-day PH. Especially since DCA may be best for my "half-day" sunday, while DL would be best for my night out! (Open till midnight)

I've used Sitters Unlimited at Grand Californian twice and both times had fine experiences. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

How did you find & get in touch with them?
What was the cost like?

I love the idea at times anyway, for having a baby sitter for myself. Make mine about 6 feet tall, dark hair, dark eyes, and has darn good rugged good looks. If he is multi-lingual, that would be a bonus, for I am still trying to learn new languages. I prefer him to be straight, and totally single. May I have the number please for this sitter service?

Thanks for all the help.

I went with Fullerton. Both Sitters Unlimited and Fullerton were equal price, but the difference was this. SU was not opened on Sunday, so I would have to reserve the sitter on Friday, and there was a 50% cancellation fee. Fullerton had no cancellation fee, the head of the company was the sitter, and she gave me her cell # to let her know if there was a cancellation on Sunday.

She sat Sunday night for me in the DLH for 5 hrs - piece of cake. Worth every penny!

I think you might be describing a completely different kind of service... :lmao:

Glad it worked out challer!

Are you going to do a trip report?

If not how about a 5 minute (two - three paragraph) recap?? (Highlights, Lowlights, what the kids liked etc?)

Thanks. :thumbsup2

Thanks Puma. I just saw it. :upsidedow

It's great that he got a little CM magic for his kids park hoppers. :yay:

When they were flipping out the nonPH to the PH tickets, my daughter asked, "Daddy, what are they doing?" My response was, "Kids, this is something called cast member magic."

There were lots of smiles around after that.
