Thinking of a fall trip to Disneyland. Is October or November better? Was thinking the Halloween party could be fun, but also thinking super heros race weekend could be fun...or just a plan regular weekend!

Any suggestions when is better dates are pretty open would like to avoid September 20-October 18.

What are your expectations of SH race weekend? That might make a difference. Also, it will be during the soft opening of Christmas if not the actual first day of Christmas that weekend.

If we go race weekend we would race, if we don't race we wouldn't go one race weekend.

Week just prior to Thanksgiving or week just after.

That is an option for sure! But flights may be pricey....

We returned home the Sunday before Thanksgiving last year and definitely had trouble finding a good price on flights. Thankfully it wasn't insanely high, but still not the great deal we had flying out the Tuesday before.

But I will say if I book when they go on sale maybe I willl have a bit more luck!

We really like the weekend after Thanksgiving; its one of our favorite times to go.

Having said that we did the Halloween Party last year and it was a total blast and would do it again. Plus we love the Fall decorations.

I've done both. October will be Halloweentime, which will be crowded, but awesome! We've done MHP last two years and plan to again this coming October - but no doubt about it, expect crowds! We spent the second week in October there this year and parks were at a "10" almost all week. We still had an AMAZING trip, but it was crowded. Then, my dad and I went that race weekend, start of holiday in November. We were there Sun-Tues and the crowds were MUCH lighter it seemed. We enjoyed the holiday decorations and the Christmas parade. It really depends on what you're looking for, but November was a great time.

Dapper Day weekend is Nov 4-5. That would give you a nice discount for on-site stays and for tickets.
