I apologize for such a redundant question, but I was hoping that all of you Disney experts could direct me to the best times to "do" Disneyland in December.

My husband and I have to choose between the following dates:

Dec. 1-3 (Wed-Fri)
or
Dec 8-10 (Wed-Fri)

Any thoughts or opinions on which week will be less busy? We were hoping to catch Fantasmic! on one of the Fridays. After pouring over all the trip reports and pictures of Christmas at Disney, I can hardly bear the wait! :) Thank you kindly for your help!

We are usually there the first week of December mid week and the crowds are usually very light.

based upon months of research, multiple spreadsheets, and endless sleepless nights, we have chosen November 28 - December 6. :lmao: seriously though, it appears that is about the least crowded time for a Christmas season visit. :thumbsup2

Between those two choices I would go with Dec. 1-3. I would think it will be slightly less crowded but I think either dates are fine.

Ha!Ha! I have felt the same way. . . I think that perhaps I should go BOTH weeks in order to better help future visitors. . . call it "research". Now if I could just convince DH that no one really needs us for the next two weeks. . .

I certainly appreciate everyone's input!

We were debating those EXACT same dates and ended up chosing Dec. 1st-3rd!
Hoping it's the right choice and not too crowded! :-)

Because this is one of the busier seasons for the parks, they are open usually till 10pm or Midnight. Disneyland is open 365 days a year (including Christmas Day). I will let you know that while on Christmas Day the parks are open late, they do close early on Christmas Eve (around 7 to 8pm).

I hope this has helped.:)

Thanks everyone! It looks like due to school schedules we will be at DL DEC 7-11. Our last visit was in January after MLK. The place was very quiet (but much busier on the weekends). We had a wonderful time. We can hardly wait for December.

If anyone has any other thoughts/suggestions, let me know. I am just wondering what kind of crowds to expect. Busy, busy? Slow? Somewhere in between? TIA!

Yes, I would be curious to know too! We're actually getting there the day you leave...11th through the 15th. We went the end of January this past year too and it was so wonderful!
