We are planning our very first DL trip for 2012 (YAY!) Our possible dates are either April (week after Easter) or June (probably mid- to late-June). Which would you pick, based on weather ONLY? The last thing I want is to be broiling while at the parks . . . will that happen in June? Will April still be chilly? My ideal temp would probably be 75-80 degrees - warm enough for shorts and t-shirts but not too hot. Thanks - I'm sure this is just my first of MANY questions!

I would choose June - no doubt!! :D
I went in April (9th, 16-17th) and I was lucky the weather was fine, but many other days it was raining! (that April was also the most rainy in decades, i think :o )
A couple of years after I went in mid June, and it was great! Not top hot, but I disn't worry about rain and morning/evening cold - like I did in April..
But you really can't be sure, how the weather will turn out.. I just checked this site, it's very helpfull, if you want to see average temp. - http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/anaheim-ca/92806/month/327150?mnyr=6-01-2011
(maybe you'll also be lucky that Cars Land will open in June :D )

Hope you will figure out which dates fits you best! :p

We have been to the parks many times in April for the kids spring break. It has been in the beautiful low 80's on some trips, and cool and drizzley in the 60's on other trips. You just can't predict these things. Our last trip was the third week of June, and the weather was in the mid 80's. I would say you have a better chance of rain in April and more of a chance of high temps in June. Good luck planning your trip!

Absolutely June. It's highly unlikely you will broil in June.

Another vote for June. April can be rainy. It can be cold. June is more likely to have decent weather.

Broiling? Only if you consider average high temperatures of 80 degrees F broiling. I personally call that heaven. :)

In June 2009 I did find temperatures near 80 to be broiling, when you're sitting or standing in the sun. Of course, I got sick that trip so I might have been running a fever... :flower3:

I would personally choose April because I hate heat. It sounds like you'd much rather face warmth (it's not LIKELY to be too hot) than possible cold and rain, so June sounds like a good choice for you.

80 degrees F = Broiling ... And you live in Arizona??? You better move north!

In Arizona we pretty much live indoors from May - October. The 30 second walk from the 65-degree office building to the car in summer heat is pretty horrible, though. :) And getting in a hot car is bad, but it gets better quick.

I now usually go outside for my breaks at work to walk, even when it's 100 out (I did not in 2009). So I'm now used to brief periods of heat. But standing or sitting in the sun for more than 15 minutes can still get to me, as it's something that most Arizonans don't actually seem to do (even when the weather is NICE!). I really think the fever made things worse on that trip, but I still think 80 degrees in the shade and/or with a breeze is amazing but 80 degrees in the sun can be surprisingly warm. At least, to someone used to 65 degree buildings all day.

Part of why I like colder weather and rain is probably because I AM from Arizona...the same way people from other places love to come out here and enjoy the sun, because they don't see the sun so much where they are from!

(And for the record there ARE a lot of places in Arizona that are cool all year around, sometimes cooler than the Midwest!...but I don't live in one of them. :rotfl: )

I have been there both in Apirl and June. I think I would have to pick April. We were there last June just before the end of the month and I can remember standing in line in the heat and it felt like 100 even though it was only in the 80's. Great weather if you want to swim and lay in the sum, but standing in line for rides gets a little hot.

We went the last week of April in 2008 and it was perfect!! :thumbsup2 The girls wore shorts, T-shirts and saltwater's the whole time! I wore flip flops! The following year we went one week later it was high 80's and it was awful standing around in the sun waiting for rides. It just felt much warmer. That being said I don't do heat. So I could be a wuss! :lmao:

Disneylands summers are far from the broiling searing heat at WDW. Afternoons at DLR are hot but not unbearable. Unlike WDW, the mornings and evenings are almost always very enjoyable, sometimes a bit cool.

When we've visited in April temps have almost always been moderate. Light jackets in morning and evenings, shorts, tshirts during the day. There can be a rainy day but we've never had more than 1 full day of rain during a weeks stay.

April should be lower crowds although June is not that high. Crowds don't show up until late June into July.

Yah, I was wondering if you were from Flagstaff or the hotter part. Guess it is the latter. :)

June for sure! there will be more people at the park, but the temperature will be perfect.
