About 5 yrs ago I took my niece and stayed at Disneyland Htl Concierge. I was a travel agent, and the price was 1/2 off. We were able to see the fireworks from the concierge room with the music piped in.

So she hasn't forgotten and wants to stay there again.............hmmmm.

Anyone stayed there this year? Can you see fireworks from Paradise Pier htl concierge? Can you see fireworks from either concierge? Would you stay there vs Grand Californian standard room?

Any place on the web with information on the concierge level?

Any thoughts???????????????? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Thanks

There seems to be very little detailed info about this topic! At least, when compared to WDW Concierge experiences.

We opted to stay DLH concierge because we are used to that level of service at WDW. I have read a few reports that seem to suggest that it is in no way as extensive as it is at the WDW resorts... but I'll find out in October.

Sorry I couldn't help more.

The DLH concierge has a great view of Downtown Disney & the two parks in the distance (go to the hotel thread at the top & click on my DLH post. I have pics of the view up there). You can see the fireworks from there - I don't know if they pipe in the music. The PPH has a concierge lounge on the 2nd floor - no windows. The GCH has a concierge on the 6th floor (highest floor) that overlooks the courtyard and faces Downtown Disney & Disneyland. I'm sure you can see the top of the Matterhorn, so I'm also sure you can see the higher fireworks - don't know about the ones close to ground.

We stayed concierge at DLH a few years ago. It was not, imo, worth the extra money, but we stayed on DVC points so I try not to think about it.

I have not stayed concierge at WDW but from what I've read, it won't come close to what you've experienced. For one thing, there isn't much for them to make arrangements for (i.e. priority seating) like there is at WDW. The lounge has canned sodas, bottled water, coffee, tea. There is a wine & cheese social in the afternoon/pre dinner hour. You can get bagels, pastries, and fruit in the morning. Daytime there is snack mix like chex mix out. Evening there are some desserts like brownies and cookies. We definitely did not eat and drink the $75/day difference. It might be a bit different now but I don't imagine much.

The view from the lounge is fabulous but we have also stayed on an upper floor ("premium view" without concierge) and had a great view as well.
