For the experts familiar with the area, which hotel is closer to the DLR entrance? Is it Disneyland Hotel or Paradise Pier? PP is a less expensive hotel but I want to be close to the entrance. Or is it 6 of one 1/2 dozen of another?

Thanks.

I want the EMH and we'll only be there for 1 day. So is it noticeably closer or not that much. PP is less expensive than Disneyland Hotel. Thanks!

DLH is not that much closer than PP, especially if you do the shortcut by walking through the GC. I would save the money and stay at PP. An extra 5 minutes isn't worth the dollars.

For a 1-nighter, Paradise Pier is just fine. The differences in distance is that of a parking lot for the most part.

I think PP is closer, walking across the St. thru the GC lobby, not walking the whole way thru DD. If you are in the far end of DL Hotel, in Frontier, it is quite the walk to the parks, but it does not bother me much, we did it last year in early January.

I like PP; I admit I try to book the upper level park view when I can though, it is super.

Here are some maps. First from the closest DLH building to the Main entrance. The furthest building , Frontier, is a little longer walk.. Second and third are PPH to Main and to DCA using the GCH. Save your money and stay at PPH.D2.jpg PP 1.jpg PP 3.jpg

For one night, you might as well stay at PPH. The distance isn't much farther, but it IS worse in my opinion because you have to cross a busy street at an intersection and then zig-zag through another hotel which is usually full of people. Now if you were going to be spending any time at the hotel, I would choose DLH over PPH any day of the week. Honestly, I don't like PPH, so take that into account in my very opinionated response. It's fine as a place to sleep but not on par with a Disney resort hotel IMO.

One night...PPH. The differences are minimal.

I agree that PPH takes you a bit more outta the Disney Bubble as you have to cross the street vs staying in DTD...but for a short quick trip, PPH is my go to.
