Disneyland hotels info needed

We've never stayed at a Disney hotel before... we've done the ParkVue accross the street which we LOVE.... but was thinking maybe this time, we give one of the Disneyland Resort hotels a try. I'm looking at something moderate, but have NO clue where to start with choosing which one, or getting a good rate. (I also have free park hopper passes for 2 days so only need to add 1 day to that. So probably hotel ONLY?) This is for 2 adults and 2 kids. Please help!

Maybe a deal will come up for your dates. Check disneyland.com every now and then.

GCH is really expensive. DLH is more expensive than the PV. PPH is only about $10 less than DLH. PPH is a little far away too but has bigger rooms.

I guess it would depend on the dates you need. My vote would be for the DLH FWIW.

Paradise Pier is the most reasonable, but depending on the time of year you might find good rates at the Disneyland Hotel, especially with the construction going on.

If you do DLH, ask which tower is being renovated and avoid it. The dreams tower is fully renovated and the closest to the parks.

FWIW, For what it's worth.

and FWIW, the DLH is 1/3 done with the rooms remodel, and 1/3 down, and 1/3 undone.

So right now you are about 50/50 for getting a new room. But I'd bet by winter that 1/3 being owrked on will be done and the other 1/3 will be down, so it will be 100% remodeled rooms done. Not that this help in a few weeks. But something to consider.

For what it's worth

I checked online and for 4 days at the DLH is cheaper than the PPH. I punched in 4 days starting on the 4th and DLH comes up as $728. PPH comes up as $884 because they don't have any standard rooms left.
I personally love the DLH, but I'm not sure how it would be during the reno's.

Don't forget to check travel sites for rates..I got our DLH stay at $179 from hotels.com and the AP rate was quite a bit higher.
