Haven't been paying much attention to threads about on-site hotels as they always seemed so expensive but now I have been looking online and have a slight dilemma.

All set in April to stay at CCI but the AP rate is available for our dates and the price difference for staying at DLH is $500 more than CCI over 7 nights including the tax - we already have AP's - this is just over $70 a night more.

I think I read somewhere that there had been some refurbs going on at the hotel and wondered this applied to the standard rooms? I don't know if I would want to pay any more for a more expensive room as if we went for DLH at all we would already be 'stretching it'.

I know about MM's and that would be a slight bonus, as teen DD can't get up early - except probably the first morning (Sunday) - if Sunday is a MM.

At the DLH preferred rooms are "new", standard room are old. I would be a little concerned about staying in a standard room in April. You see most of the DLH rooms are now done and by April construction will probably be closing in on what is left to be refurbished. These room rehabs should be done for summer.

Just saying there is some risk as this plays out. Also how Disney will qualify what rooms are preferred when they are all done is yet to be seen. Terminology is likely to change.
