Disneyland Hotel

Does anyone know if its best to ask for a nice room or wait and see what you get? I don't fancy looking at a rubbish site for a view but wondered if I could wait until I got there and asked for a view of fantasia gardens?

Also is it busy for breakfast and is there a best time to go so I can ask for the right time slot.

Can't wait to go!!!!

You don't need to ask for a slot at the DLH you can turn up anytime but I believe 9 and after is very busy. We had EMH every day so were finished and in the park before 9 and didn't have any queues.
We had a view of the courtyard which was very nice. Not sure there are any bad views TBH! But you can certainly make a request.

i havent stayed there but there would be no point asking at check in unless there are rooms free as they would be allocated. there is no harm in ringing beforehand to request a nice view

I emailed a polite request to ask for a room with a nice view. They replied saying that none of the standard rooms had a view of the Park (which I knew) but that I had been allocated a very nice room. I had a room overlooking the entrance which was all lit up at night - it was great. I also had a partial view of the Castle (through some trees) which was visible when I was lying in bed. When the Park closed, I could hear Disney music through my open window. I was totally seduced by the hotel. It could have been that that was the room I had been allocated anyway, but I was still really pleased.

when i booked our jan trip at the new york hotel , i asked the cm if there were refurbs going on in the hotel? She replied that the hotels were always being refurbished and so i asked if she could make sure that the room i had could be one that was completed?

When we arrived at our room, we were astounded when we opened our curtains and found that we had a view of dlh, the outdoor pool(although almost frozen), space mountain and the castle!!!!One night we went back to our room at approx 6pm and could see the castle lighting up for candlebration. The first night, i insisted on having the curtains open so that i could lie in bed and see the castle lit up!!Seemed to turn the lights off about 11.30, although we could still see the star!

I really believe that if you don't ask politely, you don't get!!

Yep, it was 1206. It was on the second floor, so close to the restaurants and reception. Quite far from the pool, though!

Thanks. Was it noisy? I think with the kids especially I'd prefer quiet to a good view.

We went 11th-14th Jan, so very low season but it was silent. It was almost at the end of the corridor. The nicest thing for me was the Disney music in the evening. Someone on here tipped me off about that and it was a really magical moment.

Do you remember your room number at the HNY? Was it a standard room?

We're thinking of staying here too, as it's so close to the park, esp since DH didn't like having to get the bus last time!
Is the hotel huge? I'd hate to be in a far off wing having to walk for ages, does anyone have a link to a floor plan maybe?!

The Disneyland Hotel has the least rooms of all the hotels.
You could definitely add a request at the time of booking that you did not want to be far from lifts etc
