Does the disneyland hotel offer free upgrades very often? Like a view room or concierge etc? When we stayed at the PP they upgraded us to a theme park view for free. I was just wondering if the other hotels sometimes do this as well.

During our latest visit at DLH in February I asked when we were checking in if they had an upgrades available. We had a standard room booked and they gave us a free upgrade to resort view overlooking the Koi pond. I think it all depends on how many rooms they have open. it doesn't hurt to ask when your checking in

I have a room with a view of neverland pool. If I asked for an up grade what would that be to?

They have two levels of pool/ resort view. The less expensive is lower level and the more expensive is on the higher floors. More people want a high resort view to see the fireworks

We've stayed at GCH twice, PPH once, and DLH twice. We've only ever gotten a complimentary upgrade when we stayed at PPH. Otherwise, we got the view we paid for at both DLH and GCH and at each stay, we've asked about complimentary upgrades.

When we stayed at GCH we got upgraded to park view...They said it was the only suite avaliable(we had a party of 6 so it was cheaper to get a suite then 2 rooms) It in my opinion was the best view ever. It overlooked The Grizzly Rock thing

We had a "standard" room which had a pool view...it was on the second floor of the Dream tower and we heard everyone walking (and rolling their luggage) back and forth on the walkway between the tower and the pool area. But, I don't think they sell that room as a "pool view", so if you already have a "pool view" room you are likely higher up in the tower, which is much nicer.

We stay at the DLH a few times a year (since 1999) and have never been upgraded--unless we pay for the upper view, we don't get it.

I can't imagine being upgraded to a suite--I think that would be really rare.
