I HOPE THAT ANYONE OUT THERE CAN HELP. MY FAMILY AND I ARE STAYING AT THE DISNEYLAND HOTEL NEXT WEEK :cloud9: AND I WOULD LOVE ANY TIPS ON ANYTHING THAT CAN HELP MAKE OUR STAY THAT MUCH MORE ENJOYABLE, (WHICH TOWER TO REQUEST, ASKING FOR CERTAIN AMMENETIES ETC.).
THIS IS MY FIRST TIME POSTING:flower3: SO I APPRECIATE ANY AND ALL HELP.
THANKS.
KELLI:thumbsup2

Sierra Tower, high floor, DTD side will almost certainly all be available only to those who reserved (and paid for) resort/pool view rooms. If you have booked a standard view room, you can request Sierra Tower as your first preference followed by Marina Tower 2nd preference. Almost all standard view rooms are in the Marina or Bonita tower; very few are in the Sierra Tower, and they will all be on lower floors. From the Marina Tower standard view rooms, you can usually see part of Disneyland and the fireworks. The Bonita Tower standard view rooms look out over parking and Anaheim. I wouldn't request a DTD or pool view if you didn't pay for one.

I also wouldn't wait until you check in to make your request. You can call the hotel around 3 days ahead of your check-in to make your request.

If you want a coffee maker, you have to request one.

If you call ahead of time, they can have autographed pictures of your favorite characters in your room upon arrival (one for each person registered).
If you ask, they will have balloons in the room also.

You get a "character" phone call with your reservation (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, or a combination). You have to schedule your phone call.

Bonita tower has the worst views.
Sierra tower has the best views.
Marina tower is 50/50 on views.

Call and request an upgrade on the phone now.
Make sure you request either one king or two queen beds now.
Ask for an upgrade when checking in (and be sweet, sweet, sweet about it).

If you tip your maid, you get extra goodies.

The gift shop is great.

Enjoy your stay! (enjoy the jacuzzi too!)

We are staying at the DLH next week as well!! You can req that first trip pins be ready for at check in if you want them as well.... if you need a roll away you can request that now as well. We scheduled a delivery of milk and cookies for the first night we are there... it is two large mickey cookies with a carafe of milk and a card that I could personalize... I put "Adam & Alex, Welcome to Disneyland!! Love your Disney Pals" The Milk and cookies had a cost of approx $25.

Don't forget, they are renaming those towers and I think the Sierra Tower is now going to be the Magic Tower?? So, you may want to state that you want to be in the tower formerly known as Sierra.

thanks so much for the tip greatly appreciated, i can tell you all about the parks but nothing about the hotel.

Wow! Excellent Tips. Definatley Need The Coffe In The Am. My Boys Will Love All The Extra Attention.
You're Awsome.

According to mouseage:
Sierra is renamed Dreams
Marina is renamed Magic
Bonita is renamed Wonder

I suspect most of the cast members will know them best by their old names for awhile.

Don't forget to play with the radio-controlled boats next to the Lost Bar

I Love This Site, Everyone Of Your Replies Has Been Tremendously Helpful. I Called Today And Requested The Marina /magic Tower
And They Put In A Note For My Check In. And My Boys Are Soo Excited To Drive The Boats.
Thanks Again

When I called I was told that you only get a choice of 1 early entery during your visit if you're staying at a disney property.

The ability to enjoy EE each day it is offered if you stay at the DLR is an unadvertised perk... but many people on this board can tell you first hand that it is indeed a true perk :) I am going next week and plan to have 2 EE days as we are staying at the DLH :cool1:

I am staying at DLH, when I booked that's what the cast member told me that it was a one time use of early entry, and 1 toon town morning madness. I am all for getting extra early time in the park. Hopefully the crowds wont be bad early march.

Just to clarify:
If you have a 3-day (or more) park hopper ticket, you get one day EE as part of your ticket. When you go to the gate for EE, they'll check your ticket, and mark it off so it can't be used again.

Guests of the DL Resort hotels (GCH, DLH, and PPH) get EE for every day that it is offered during your stay. This is an unadvertised perk, and could be discontinued at any time. However, I've not heard of anyone saying this has occurred, so I assume it is still going.

Last year when we went, our first EE day our tickets were marked for EE; for each day after that, we just showed the CM the white slip of paper (for room charges, etc.) to indicate we were DLH guests, and were allowed in for EE.

When you check into the hotel, they'll give you a slip of paper that you show at the gate.

Is this pretty recent? We were at DL a couple of months ago, stayed at the DLH and EE was available only once.
