Does Disneyland handle room charges like WDW? for items like souvenirs and food

I usually have a card on file, and the resort charges the entire amount at the end of the stay. (As opposed to many small charges). Do they put a hold on your account for a certain amount? What is the limit before they post a charge. I know in WDW its $1500

Thanks!

Wow, I'm only there for one or two days so I don't know. I hate that they charge your card right away and don't wait until you check in.

What do you mean?

Hotels usually authorize your card for a certain amount. They don't place an charge on it until you leave, but they "reserve" a certain amount of funds that won't be available on your credit limit while you stay to cover the rate and anything you may charge to the room.

ETA: I was assuming you're asking about the hold on the card, but I looked back and I see that the other poster is suggesting they charge your card before you check in. I don't know anything about that; we bought a package and paid long ago.

However, I asked about room charging a while back and my understanding is that they have "Key to the Magic", which means that your hotel key card can be used around DLR to charge stuff to your room and then you settle up with the hotel. I think that was part of your original question.

Sorry to go sideways there!
