Disneyland Hotel restoration

Does anyone know where the construction on the Disneyland Hotel stands? Also can someone tell me how much the Hotel valet costs compared to regular parking? Thanks

Parking: I believe $15 for Self Park, and $22 for Valet, though I just saw a recent visitor say $24 for Valet.

Construction: Grounds will be done in a month. New waterslides being the major change. They still need to redo the big pool(Neverland Pool). This is planned to be started in the Fall done by 2012.
All Construction done by 2012. Good Chance they will get it wrapped up for Christmas break.
The last section of rooms is being worked on currently. It may be a ways into summer before these open up. So right now 2 towers done, 1 in progress. Some work in the lobbies of the first two towers but it is wrapping up right now. In the main tower where the entrance is, a lot of work is going on in the bottom floor. This might take a while or stop and restart in the Fall, merely speculation based what is planned.

I've been trying to decipher all of the info about DLH renovations....but because I am so unfamiliar with things, I am having a hard time.

I just booked GCH for our travel dates of 7/24-7/27 because I still wasn't sure about the progress on the pool where the slides are located. Do you think that pool would be open by our dates?? Will the Neverland pool be operational for the summer months? I prefer to stay at DLH, but I'm a little leery.

Yes, all the pools should be open. The Neverland pool will be the only thing not yet rehabbed. The Neveland isn't going to be change just be rehabbed. The pool construction is planned to be paused over the summer. So The Neveland pool should a stay as is until the Fall.

There is no hard date that I have seen.

The new poolside restaurant. Tangaroa Terrace is opening on May 25th. Since it's serving poolside food and over looking the pool area. I think the construction on the pool should be done around the same time.

I was just told today that the new pool area is set to open the 25th(of May) as well.

Does anyone know when the neverland pool will be closed for refurb? I know Fall, but any more specifics. I'm planning on going September 14-18. If neverland pool is still open, would consider DLH, otherwise will probably do GCH (which I may do anyway )

Thanks! We will be there June 12th-15th. Keeping our fingers crossed it will be open then!

I would guess that when Disney says they will close it in the Fall that it means.

Most likely right after Labor Day weekend. Which would be the 6th of September.
Possibly even earlier, even in mid August.

Keep in mind that the new pool area which is opening, is going to have a splash area, little slides, big slide, a small pool, a hot tub, and a large sunning area. So it won't be lacking much when they close the peter pan pool down.
