Disneyland Hotel Recomendation???

The Grand Californian is the most themed and nicest and most expensive. It is wedged up against the new park and has a super convenient entrance into DCA. The rooms are not big but are decorated nicely, are quite and comfortable. The pool area is somewhat themed to the Redwoods. One nice expensive restaurant, one medium expense restaurant and a very nice snack (burgers and such)bar.
The Disneyland Hotel is three older Towers that have just finished renoateing their rooms with a Dsney theme ( Bedspreads with old fasioned drawings of Disneyland rides), TV armoire with the castle drawn on it and (from what I hear) Tinkerbell glow in the dar border paper. The rooms are big. The grounds are extensively landscaped and the main pool is themed to Neverland. There are numerous places to eat from medium expense to expensive. The Monorail station is about a blocks walk.
Paradise Pier Hotel is two towers that are newer than th DLH and used to belong to another hotel company. Disney bought it and themed (on the outside) to blend in with the Paradise Pier section of DCA. DCA is across the street and most of the rooms on that side of the building have spectacular views of the park. The rooms are medium ( bigger than Grnad California and smaller than DLH) and are decorate wit a slight Micke Mouse theme but are not flowery or overdone. The pool is on the top of the hotels parking structure and is unthemed but there is a great spot to catch the fireworks from nearby. There are a couple of restaurants here that both get good reviews.
I personaly really like the Grand California but like the size of the DLH rooms better.

I also love GC!! I stayed there for 4 days about a month ago and absolutely loved it. I have also stayed at DLH, and although I liked it, I didn't feel like I HAD to stay there again, like I did with GC. It's hard to describe, but I really felt like GC was truly a "Disney" resort, almost like I felt with all of the WDW resorts I've stayed in.

It is expensive, but I felt it was worth it. The rooms are beautiful, as are the amenities, and the theme-park view was amazing. There are also nice touches such as robes to use during your stay and turndown service. I was very absorbed in the atmosphere there. The hotel and grounds are absolutely gorgeous. We had breakfast and dinner at Storyteller's Cafe and enjoyed everything about both meals there: food, service, decent price, etc.

As the above poster mentioned, it is also extremely convenient to everything, DCA, DD, and DL. Of course, all of the hotels in the area are convenient and walking distance, but GC is probably the most convenient you can get.
