Disneyland Hotel questions

Sorry so many questions, work and live near Disney World but have never been to Disneyland. We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel.

When is the room rehab expected to be finished?

Which building to request?

Will be making a reservation for Goofy's Kitchen breakfast for my daughter's birthday but was told they only take them 60 days out. Which characters are usually there?

To book a room that's been refurbished I was told when I booked my reservation to book a premium standard view room. There are refurbed rooms in all 3 towers now but the bulk of the construction is on the main Dreams tower, according to Disney reservations anyway.

Dreams is done. It is Marina that is under refurb.

To get a reno'd room, reserve a prefered room.

Most of the room construction should be done by Summer. Everything will be done sometime in 2012.

I'm glad I found this thread. I've been planning a trip for May and planned on staying at the DLH, because I've never stayed there, but I can only swing paying for a standard room. I think I'll save this experience until I can make sure I'll get an updated room.
