Hi all,

I'm just wondering for future reference on the DLH (we've always wanted to do it but couldn't justify the cost).. if we were to book a normal room (just 2 double beds, no terrace) what are the chances of us getting a room that over looks the parks quite nicely?... I've seen rooms each side and I'd be a bit gutted if we were overlooking the metro/village area.

Thanks!

All you can do is ask, we had a lovely turret room with a balcony overlooking fantasia gardens (only booked a standard), I loved it you could hear all the music and the landscaping is so pretty.

So I wouldn't worry if you don't get one, the ones overlooking fantasia gardens are really nice :thumbsup2

We have always booked a standard room and ended up with rooms overlooking the park entrance, which means we could see the train station, Christmas tree etc., The view wasn't a park view by any stretch of the imagination but it was still nice to watch the train and listen to the music from main street and could also see the fireworks from dreams. The first time we got it was luck, the others I asked for it before we visited and then again on check in.

I think next time we visit I will be asking for a room overlooking fantasia gardens for a change!

Thanks!

Can you guys also tell me if the breakfast system works the same at DLH? We've been getting golden forest lately, and wondering how it'd compare for time slots and any other differences to a normal booking at DLH?

Unless something has changed in the past year you don't book a timeslot in the DLH for breakfast, you can just turn up at any time you like. Other than that is the same as the other hotels, show the hotel easypass etc., They put out food until quite late, and we have eaten past 11 before.

Just turn up for your breakfast in the DLH - you don't book a time slot :)

Thanks all :) I'm thinking of booking it as a surprise for one of our trips going forward, we've always really wanted to do it but held off so usually stay at the Sequoia, we're trying the Cheyenne next May so I figure why not mix it a bit more!.. We love the bar at Sequoia especially at Christmas, but the DLH one is just as nice (in a different way).
