Disneyland Hotel - Pool area

Does anyone know if you need your key to access the pool area ?

Do you just show your room card to get in, or do you need to swipe it somewhere ?

Good question, thanks. I needed to know this also. I also found out that you can use complimentary life vests for your little ones. That saves on suitcase space for me!!
