Hi All!
Does anyone know if there is a height restriction for the slides at the pools at the Disneyland Hotel? I'm wondering if my toddler will be able to go on all the slides or just the kiddie one. He's about 36 inches.

Also, they have poolside service for food right? Is it from the Tangaroa Terrace? We are going to be spending our first day at the pool since we get in around 4 so was wondering if we had to go get food ourselves or if they had food service there. Are prices pretty much the same if the food just comes from Tangora Terrace?

Thanks!

Nope. They've never checked my daughter - she's 42 inches and been using them since she was 18 months old. Granted she just started using the "big" slide. I think the only requirement is that littles have to wear swim vests (which DLH provides pool side).

As for food, at that time of day you may end up having to go get it. They tend to stop food and drink service to the pools around 5:30 (that's what I overheard last week - not 100% on this). But TT is right outside the pool area so easy access. I believe prices are the same either way.

Ah thank you for the response! My little boy is a daredevil and would love the slide so he may try it! Do you know if they let two go down at once, like if i held onto him and he sat in front? Or is it like most slide where only one can go down?

That's actually the reason she only just started doing the big slide. You have to go down one at a time. They do have the kiddie one with two lanes that my daughter (and slowly my 1 y.o. son) adores. She loves to race me. LOL

They have life vests available. You have to go down 1 at a time. They have a lifeguard at the top and bottom. They will tell each person when to go. The big slide drops into a 4-5' pool, then you swim to the stairs and get out. When you get out, the lifeguard at the top sends the next person. Your toddler will need to be able to follow directions.

My story - My granddaughter was almost 4 (she was 42".) We were at the pool with 3 teen girls who help me with her at Disneyland. She is in a life vest and playing with the kiddie slides. After an hour or so, I don't see them. So I start looking around and where are they? At the top of the big slide. I'm was a little concerned because she didn't swim yet. So, I watch for them to start coming down, and when the first teen came down, I asked her why they were on the big slide. "Granddaughter wanted to go on the big slide." (She is a dare devil.) I asked "Do you realize she can't swim??" So, her she comes. Hits the pool and does a great job getting to the stairs. So I asked her what happened and she says the life guard asked if she could swim and she said no, so he told her as soon as she hit the water to flip on her tummy and to dog paddle. They did a great job with her, and now at 6 she does a great job on the slides!
