Disneyland hotel pin codes?

Faith, trust and a little bit of pixie dust.....:tinker:

No, it is the luck of the draw. It is suggested to get on every mailing list available for Disney. Register on their website, request a vacation planning DVD, etc. Some people get a lot, some none.... I'm hoping booking my vacation package threw Disney (even though staying off site) puts me in the running for getting pin codes for a later date.

The reason why it makes sense to get on every possible Disney mailing list (and especially the ones specific to DLR, on the DLR website) is because, clearly, Disney Destinations has to get everyone's name and address from somewhere, so they have to pull from various databases or one master database compiled from various smaller ones, so it does no good to NOT sign up. It can't hurt to sign up. When I have suggested this before (to sign up and get on every list imaginable), certain folks have said that they have signed up and gotten on every list and still receive no PIN codes. I can't explain that. All I know is that it is better to sign up than to not sign up, or how else will they know you exist?!:lmao:

The whole process is very random - it does not appear to be exclusive to AP holders or non-AP holders, nor to people who have stayed onsite before. Some folks get PIN offers or special discount offers every year (like so far this year, I think I have received several for WDW, 4 total for DLR and three of them I am sitting on right now - they all expire at the end of September), and some folks get none. I was getting them even before I got an AP. The PIN offers are non-transferable, so if we receive them and cannot use them, we can't give them to anyone else, either. They go to waste! Also, I should add that not all the PIN offers are the same - some folks may get an offer that puts the PPH at $139 per night, while others have a PIN offer that says PPH is $159 per night. And sometimes they get mailed or emailed out in waves - like a bunch of us get them in June, and then another wave of folks gets their PINs in late July or so.
