I was wondering how much extra it costs to upgrade a standard room to a park view room? I cannot find this info anywhere...

I wasn't aware that you could pay for this? I think you can request it in the booking but it's not guaranteed. I *think* and I may be wrong, the only way to guarantee a view is to upgrade to Castle Club which is very expensive.

I'm sure 'Torsie' had a standard room a few years ago at the DLH and had a bit of a park view (although not full on) - she even listed the no of the room in her trip report if you could find it. I also think DanaUK may have had one too - again scan old trip reports :thumbsup2

We've stayed twice and never had one (but then never asked as we were more concerned about getting connecting rooms). We did have a ground floor room the first time with doors out to the gardens/table/chairs etc which was nice. We could hear the music in the parks from both rooms each night if we left the window open a little :thumbsup2

A lot of the castle club rooms don't even have a park view.

As already stated, you can't book them. You can book a suite with a guaranteed park view but they're very expensive.

I thought all CC rooms had some park view albeit not necessarily front on? Gosh, that surprises me!

Yes, the last quote I saw for a suite was around £26,000 for one night :scared1::scared1::scared1:. I can't remember where i saw it now either (I was just looking at standard rooms but it brought up suites as well) - shame as I was hoping to book :rotfl2:.

Oh I definitely won't pay that much for it lol. They said we can't do it on the reservation since it is DVC points we are using. We will be booked with a standard room but she said at check in we can request it.

Carrie -I'm going to have to look back through my history now and double check. I honestly saw £26,000 - maybe it was to buy the actual hotel :rotfl2::lmao:. Only joking - think you would need a bit more cash!

Too late now but I will look tomorrow - see if I can remember where I saw it!

I can't find where I saw it :headache:. However, thinking about it, it might have been £26,000 for the 5 nights which kind of tallies with what Carrie said. Eventhough, that's a serious amount of money for 5 nights there :scared1::rotfl2:

We stayed at DLH 3 times and the worst view was the first room they showed us when we had our one and only stay at he castle club, luckily they found us another room....see photos in our trip report

Both other times we had a view over where you are dropped off and second time over the gardens where the pool is, both were nice.

Our room was just a standard - we looked over the hotel entrance, but could see a little of Tomorrowland, and could hear Main St.

We were lucky and always got a window seat at breakfast and our two dinners, so we had wonderful Main St views for an hour or two a day anyway. :)
