Which is the better hotel, can you give me some pro's and cons to each. Which rooms are nice. What's the difference?

We stayed at PP in Sept of 05, I was a little disappointed. Rooms weren't all that great, no laundry area. The pool was ok and we did have a view of DLC which was cool but I wish I had stayed off property rather then PP. We are going this October and staying in DLH. I am sure it is worth the extra money and really looking forward to it.

I like the theming at PP slightly better (born and bred Brian Wilson/Beach Boys fan here), and PPH has one of my favorite on property restaurants: Yukabumi. If money is an option, this hotel is cheaper.

Otherwise though, DLH is great too. I like the Peter Pan-themed pool, and its right there for the monorail to get into DL... Also more convinient for visiting DTD. The rooms I felt were nicer at DLH as well.

I personally like both. I think the rooms are about the same, the only reason I like the DLH is because the walk to DTD/Disneyland is shorter and the pools are way cooler!

The only true negative to me of PP was the small boring rectangle Holiday Inn-ish pool. The slide is fun though. PP feels a little further away from the action although if you walk through the Grand Californian to get to the DL gate, its probably not.

DLH has a great pool, more ambience (outdoor bar/waterfall/2nd pool/ bigger lobby area and just more "grounds" in general), and a quick stroll to the action in DTD. The rooms are comparable. Easy access to monorail.

I can truly say I've been to every single US Disney property (stayed there that is) and the DLH is my FAVORITE!! PP is ok and I would stay there again, but there is no match to DLH. Whatever the price, it's DLH for us always!

We stayed at PP last year and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were a good size for our family of four and included a sofa that could be pulled out into a bed. We had booked a city view and were upgraded to a park view which was amazing. We walked into the room and DCA was right there. The rooms were very clean. I believe the PP was renovated in 2003??? (someone can correct me on this) whereas from what I read on Trip Advisor DLH is in bit of need for renovations. The pool area at PP is a little boring but the kids really enjoyed themselves especially the water slide. DS was 2 and he had lots of fun in the kiddie pool. I've never stayed at the DLH but their pool area definately beats the PP's from what I saw walking by. DLH also has more options when it comes to food. I didn't find the walk long at all. We were told to cross the street, walk throught the Main entrance of the GCH and follow the signs to DL. If you do a search of the threads on this board, there are lots of threads re: DLH or PP. Good luck! Picking the hotel is the hardest part!

Oh goodness, we prefer PP. I like DLH gorunds. The rooms are basically the same. I would stay at DLH for a character suite but that is it.

PP seems clamer, not as noisy
DLH seems loud and rushed.

Our order of preference, GCH, PP, DLH. My kiddos are 3,4,5.

I mostly agree with this statement.

We've stayed at both and enjoyed both. We also like the theming at the PPH a little better.

Both hotels have nice sized rooms and terrific room service. To us, the PPH hotel felt newer or more updated, whereas the DLH felt a little older (but still very nice).

We thoroughly enjoyed the pools, slides, and hot tubs at both properties! (I mean we really ENJOYED them and spent at least 4 hours each day swimming and sliding.) I think the PPH pool area has a better setup for parents of younger kids because the slide and kiddie pool are right next to one another. Parents can sit back and relax in the chairs around the kiddie pool while the kids run and play to their hearts content between the kiddie pool and slide. After a long day of walking in the parks, it was very nice to be able to get off our feet and relax and not have to run after our kids at the pool.

But, of course, the Neverland Pool at the DLH is such a fun theme, and the hot tub here is HUGE! I think it's the biggest hot tub I've ever been in.

The DLH is more convenient to the monorail and DTD. The PPH is about a 5 minute walk to the DTD monorail station.

Pick whichever one looks the best to you, or whichever one fits your budget. You can't go wrong with either hotel.:thumbsup2
