Disneyland hotel (or paradise pier) questions

Hi,

We've been to Disneyland several times over the years but have always stayed at a Good Neighbor hotel since we usually would go for > 2 day, therefore getting MM.

This October we will be going to the parks Oct. 23 and 24 (hopefully Halloween party on the 23rd and then park hopper on 24th).

Since we won't be eligible for MM with our quick trip this time, I had a couple of questions:

1. If we stayed at Disneyland hotel or Paradise Pier for one night, would we be able to get into one of the parks earlyl on the 24th?

2. Being that the 24th is a Tuesday, would MM really matter or would we be OK if we got there prior to opening? (We have typically gone in the summer so not sure what October looks like)

Thanks!

You can get early entry on arrival and departure day (if you can get there early enough!).

A lot of whether it's worth it depends on when park open is that day. The later the park opens, the more important it is to be there early.

If you stay at an onsite resort hotel for only one night you actually get TWO full days of benefits even though you only have access to your room from 3pm check in till 11am check out. You get EE, parking, pool access, etc. for both full arrival and departure day with the one night charge.

You can check in as early as 6am on arrival day. If your room is not ready (and it most likely will not be until afternoon), they will give you your room keys and hold your bags at the bell desk then text you with your room # when it is ready.

It sounds like you are planning to buy a Party ticket for entry at 3pm on Oct 23rd and a one day hopper for Oct24th.
As others indicate, yes you'll get EE for both days if staying on-site.
I'd consider staying on Harbor and putting the money towards a 2-day hopper pass instead of staying on-site.
Starting at rope drop both days.

Just to clarify, you get Early Entry only with a regular admission media. If you only have the special Party ticket, then you would not get EE that day.

So therefore the recommendation of buying a 2 day Park Hopper and the party ticket, and that is a lot of money, so you might look at other options.

Maybe the day at Knott's Berry Farm, the tickets are about $40 per person if bought in advance at www.knotts.com and then the Halloween Party at night.

Or even cheaper is Adventure City in Buena Park and Stanton. (Basically most of the Parking Lot is in Anaheim, and the park is in Stanton.

Or maybe do some Shopping at The Outlets at Orange or Buena Park Downtown.

Thanks Darkbeer1, I'm leaning towards staying on site to be able to have EE on the 24th and just doing the party on the 23rd as you suggested. We have family close-ish by so I'm thinking we will use the first half of Monday to visit with them :)

We have found doing rope drop at the park without early entry almost as good as early entry. Especially when early entry is at 9 and at Disneyland with all the magic morning people too.
