Disneyland hotel discounts

Just wondering if DIsneyland ever offers hotel discounts in the summer months like disneyworld does…we are planning first DL trip for next summer and wondering if I should bank on paying rack rate or any hope of a discount?! thanks

Not really. They usually start up again in September. This year might be different, though, because of the 60th Anniversary going on. If they are extremely busy, there might not be any discounts. You should keep your eyes out for a discount, just in case.

I think they started around late august last year, but who knows this year.

I think your best bet for summer time would be to go through Orbitz and use one of their 20% discounts

I was waiting forever for summer discounts since I'm so used to getting them from WDW. I really doubt you will see them with the 60th anniversary. I booked GCH through orbitz a couple weeks ago when they offered 20% off.

Unlike WDW, the DL hotels actually fill up to capacity. WDW has so many rooms that they have to offer discounts to compete with all those great-but-cheap hotels in the area. Orbitz or CheapTickets will have percentage off deals. They won't always include the DL hotels, but when they do it's a pretty good deal.

GCH actually fills to capacity? That hotel is just as much if not more than some deluxe resorts in WDW so it's hard to see that filling up, but for the diamond celebration it could be a exception.

Since Carsland opened, the resort hotels have been 90% filled during the summer...including the GCH.

Thanks. We are planning for next summer but trying to start my budget now. This will likely be our only time at DL so definitely will be staying onsite
