Disneyland Hotel Construction Noise

Has anyone visited the DL Hotel recently? How is the construction noise from the DVC tower next door? Our plan is to hit the parks early and come back around lunch to use the pool fo the afternoon, rest, and then go back into the parks at night. Would it be better to go to DL Hotel or Grand California? We did the GC last time and enjoyed it, but I thought our young kids would find the DL theming more fun. If it's noisy by the pool though maybe GC or a neighbourhood hotel is a better option...

A few people have mentioned this lately , I think on the DLH superthread. From what they have said, I don't think noise is much of an issue. Perhaps someone can chime in and clarify. DLH is super fun, and your kids would love the pool

We stayed 2 weeks over Christmas, then again earlier this week. I did not hear anything over Christmas. Last weekend, I was in the Frontier Tower (right next to the build) and one morning I heard a faint noise, not even sure what it was, but it was more of "Is that the tv or outside?" Outside by the pool, I don't remember hearing anything abnormal.

Very soon any construction noise around the hotel will be in stereo, with the west end of Downtown Disney project.

The noise isn't going to start in earnest until the tower actually starts going up.

But yeah, the demo noise in DtD is going to be a problem for the Adventure tower in the coming weeks.
