We are in planning for our trip to Disneyland California next October. If we use our DVC points to book a few nights at the Disneyland Hotel, are we charged the DVC tax rate or regular hotel tax rate on check out?

There is no tax when you use points at DL.

There is also no $95 fee for using points at a DLR hotel. And the Rule of 4 doesn't apply.

That said, the points needed for the hotels has really gone up quite a bit the past few years. If there's any way to use your points for a VGC room, you'll probably save a boatload of points, depending on the size room you need to accommodate your group.
