My last visit to the Disneyland Hotel was in 1996 and at that time, it was a beautiful property. I wondered if anything had changed in 12 years. We arrived early, around 1 pm, and the front desk cast member, greeted me with "Hi, how are you?" I said "please tell me that you have a room ready for me." Megan said that the room assigned to us was not ready, but she checked with the room assignment desk and they were able to get me into a room, King bed in the Dreams tower, as I requested. The room was beautiful, I loved the Disney bedspread, very subtle Disney, not bold Mickey Mouse. The room had a free refrigerator, free internet access, free coffee in the lobby. Our view was of the Neverland Pool, but we didn't spend much time in the room so view was not important. This was my husband's first time in Disneyland, California and so he was impressed. There were some negatives, although some not the fault of the hotel. The monorail, which was the main reason I chose the Disneyland Hotel, didn't run one of the days of our stay; the first night the monorail service was erratic at best. Of course, the monorail is no longer touted as a resort transportation benefit, it's a Tomorrowland attraction. Because of medical reasons, I do have problems walking too far, and we did have to walk to the California Adventure Park, but it wasn't too bad and there were places that you could sit in Downtown Disney District if needed. I do wish that all Disneyland resort hotels would provide tram service to the theme parks, but because of Downtown Disney, I don't know how feasible that would be. Back to the Disneyland Hotel, housekeeping was always timely, the room was always cleaned up by the time we got back to the hotel, whether it was early or late afternoon. The room amenities were of better quality than many, cast members are friendly and you do feel welcomed there. My only complaints: They close everything, food, sundries, gift shop at 10pm, so when the park closes at midnight and you get back to your room, you'd better have already purchased any food or beverages beforehand. You can't even get room service after 10pm. Maybe I'm spoiled living in Las Vegas where the hotels have services 24/7. The other problem we had was with the room itself. Because of how the airconditioner is situated, the condensation caused the carpet on one side of the bed to be soaked. I called housekeeping the first morning, and nothing was done. I called guest services the second morning because at this point, we had to put our bath towels down on the floor, or step into sopping carpet when you get off the bed. Again, nothing was done. Finally, I called the front desk the third morning and they offered to change my room, which did not make sense considering we were leaving the next day. I just asked that they send someone to please wet vac it and check the A/C unit. They did send maintenance to check the unit, but no wet vac until I called again. Before we went back to Disneyland for our final night, I stopped at the front desk to speak to someone in person. The front desk cast member apologized and said that they will make it right. They did give me a credit to my bill for $75, and I do appreciate Disney's commitment. to exceed guest expectations. Would I stay here again - most definitely, we're going back in December.

Hey fellow Vegan. Glad you had a great stay at Disneyland. We stayed their last year for our wedding 7/7/7. We are headed to WDW in 09. Let me know how you like your hotel.
