Disneyland Hong Kong - Opens Sept 2005

We went to the members update meeting at SSR, June 15 and they announced that Disneyland Hong Kong will be opening Sept. 12, 2005.

Later we asked a rep about staying on DVC and he said that they were still working out the points for DVC members to stay there.

Can't wait. I think it will be on the list of places to see for DH and I.

We can't even use points at the Tokyo parks, and I believe there is common ownership between Tokyo DL and Hong Kong DL (Oriental Land Company?), so we probably shouldn't wait too anxiously. I've read several times that OLC was not interested in working with DVC to develop a trade in program. Although perhaps that has changed.

Hong Kong Disneyland has nothing to do with the OLC. The park is a joint venture between the Walt Disney Company and the Hong Kong SAR Government.

You're right. Thanks for the correction. I must have been thinking of the TWO parks in Tokyo (DL and DS) and somehow throwing HK into the mix.
