Have any of you been to the Mickey's Halloween Party? If so, we heard that they serve free hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies for the guests,....is that true, do they give away cookies and hot chocolate for the hrs of the Halloween party?

Question 2: Do they sell special treats or souveniers during the party hours that they don't sell during the regular park hours? For example: do they sell special Halloween party cups or t-shirts, only for the time the Halloween party is being held?

We need to know because of spending $$.

Oh we've never been either and are going this year. I would love to know the answer to your questions too.

Those are some good questions. We're Halloween Party First-Timers, as well, and we'd like to know about any special merchandise, too. The cookies and hot chocolate, sounds fantastic. Hope it's true!

There are two Halloween parties - one at the Disneyland Resort and one at Walt Disney World.

At the Disneyland Resort they have special fireworks, a small calvalcade (parade of sorts), and lots of candy trails.

At Walt Disney World they have free hot chocolate, not sure about the cookies, and a parade to my knowledge.

There is an excellent thread on this board that gives details and pictures of the Halloween party at Disneyland, and I've linked it below. :)

There is merchandise for Halloween - a lot of villain stuff, sweet treats, a cute demi-tasse cup of dessert that you can get at Carnation Cafe or Plaza Inn (probably Jolly Holiday this year, too), and other Halloween themed items at some of the shops. It is a lot of fun.

Not quite. MVMCP (Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party) at WDW has free hot cocoa and cookies. The Halloween Party (MNSSHP = Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party) does not. MNSSHP is very elaborate - they have a fireworks show (HalloWishes) and a full parade (Boo-To-You), along with the trick-or-treating, character meet and greets, dance parties, Forecourt stage shows, and the Headless Horseman!

Question 2: Do they sell special treats or souveniers during the party hours that they don't sell during the regular park hours? For example: do they sell special Halloween party cups or t-shirts, only for the time the Halloween party is being held?
Yes, they have special merchandise just for the party (I remember a t-shirt and pins for sure). Some of it was already out during regular hours and you didn't need a HP ticket to purchase them.

Just went last year, so I can help out a bit.

1. No, no free food or drinks. In fact, if I recall correctly, most of the restaurants were closed/not serving during the party. So if you go, plan on filling up before it starts, or eating a LOT of candy, lol.

2. Yes, there is some (limited) merchandise that is only put out during the hours of the party. I believe there were a few shirts, a pin, things like that.
