Looks like we get to run up Main Street this year. That is the one thing I was disappointed with last year. We are running through Angel Stadium again and no huge out and back in the Honda Center parking lot.

The path through Disneyland is totally different than last year. I am looking forward to it. I think I will miss running through the park at the end of the race though (unless I am reading it wrong). That was a nice pick-me-up right at the end.

Since I have never been there, I have nothing to compare to. But it seems like there are a lot of long straightaways, which I like.

I'm going to miss that final leg through DT Disney. The two years I did the race, I found that stretch to be a huge pick me up due to the crowds.

From what I remember hearing, the guests at the Grand Californian complained that they could not cross to get to Disneyland because of the race going through DTD, so last year the last leg was put through California Disney. I don't know why we don't get to go through the park this time, but I am happy to be running through Main Street. I think this is a good trade-off.

That is very close to the course that they had for the inaugural DL half in 2006(map here). There are some subtle difference along the route but the really big ones are the course through DLP and not finishing in DTD.

I have to get back out to do this even again but it is looking like it will be 2012 before I can do it again because of the timing.
