I'm a little confused about the advantages of a DL good neighbor package. We're looking at booking the Annabella Hotel next February. Can they include tickets to DL? Is the tickets discounted? Any other advantages? Will my AAA (CAA) apply when booking a package? Not sure whether I'll book directly through the hotel or through a travel agent. Any thoughts?

Caution, Good Neighbor packages and hotels booked through Disney does not meal the best deal. It's a mareketing campaign that has nothing to do with the good rates, location, or hotel quality. Usually if you get the package you don't get the best rate on the hotel or tickets.

Try booking direct and see if it will be better. You can also find the Annabella on Facebook. See if they are running any specials first. Also look at you tickets on Disneyland.com and see if there prepurchase rates will add up to make it a better deal.

Thanks skiingfast.
I was kinda wondering about that. I never book a package as I always book everything separate...and usually on my own. It seems to be a very different mindset booking Disneyland as it is Disneyworld.
And I appreciate the tip about the Annabella facebook page. Will check it out.
I usually use a ticket broker for WDW tickets and save $20-30 bucks for the family. But there doesn't seem to be a Disneyland ticket broker that I can see. Sounds like prepaying online from Disney is the best rate??

I would definitely compare the prices of booking separately vs a package. The good neighbor title doesn't really mean much -- more it is just for marketing partnerships. Consider AAA or Costco if you do want to buy a package. They have perks that are bonuses then you can decide if those bonuses are worth more if the package costs more than the individual price. I don't know if you can book at aaatravel.com with your CAA card number, however you can definitely call their 1800 number or contact your CAA number.
There are other companies that sell packages and tickets but there are mixed comments on how they work/how easy they are to use. I don't know of any of them that did not get their tickets, but you might consider using the forum search on these boards if you want to use one of them, so you can see what the pros/cons are. They are: ARES travel, GetAwayToday, and LastMinuteTravel.
We have booked once with AAA and twice on our own.
