Disneyland Girls Only Trip thread

To all of you ladies traveling tomorrow, I hope you have a safe flight, train ride, drive to Disneyland .

I won't be arriving until Friday so I'll see most of you then .

NOTE: To all the ladies dining at Blue Bayou on Friday, please try to arrive 15-20 minutes early to check in. They won't allow you to check in until your whole group is present. I'll be arriving at 11:30 and I'll look out for ladies in "martini" shirts.

Have fun ladies I will see some of you at carnation cafe on sunday what time are we meeting.and if someone that will be at lunch wants to pm with a cell number so I can find you guys that would be great.

Ok--here's the scoop. They have a conference room BUT it is already in use for Fri. nite. They will let us use it Thursday nite from 7-10 (they would set up tables and chairs too) for free. I know some ladies won't be there by then so do we (1) want to tell them we will use it Thurs. nite (and then do another event on Fri. when more people come) or (2) forget Thurs. nite and just do the event on Fri. nite in Chris and Dagny's room? Or (3) both!

Let me know your thoughts right away so I can let Lorealle know. Either Thurs. or Fri. I think we will have some people who won't be able to make it --either because they want to stay in the parks, or aren't there yet or have events (i.e., Fantasmic).

I believe Alien Green is the Dis approved color for LGMMH. Sure, bring 'em. I'm sure we could find a creative way to use them.

Maybe we could stick them on the doors so we know who all is with our group.

I don't have a specific time--one of the problems will be that some of us may be at the 9 p.m. Fantasmic and some at the 10:30 Fantasmic and if there is fireworks in between at 9:25 . . . then I think we're going to be doing this early (before the 9 p.m. Fantasmic) which may be too early for you. Since there isn't a dinner planned that night . . . .

I just want to let Lorealle know whether to reserve the room for Thurs. nite--Thanks Capri (I think I feel the same way--#2 and we just wing it in Chris/Dagny's pad). But I'll wait a bit to let others chime in.

Hey Mary Jo--a group of us are meeting at 5:15 on Thurs. nite at the Golden Horseshoe for Billy Hill--and then some are going on to the Jazz Kitchen at 6:30 (and some I guess are staying in the parks!). We may have a wine and snack get together at some point but still in planning stage. Should know more later this afternoon. Otherwise, I think for the most part it's scheduled events.

Are you all taking any more for the Billy Hill show? I'm hoping to be in DL by then and might be able to make it...if I can find you all.

So are we looking at meeting up for drinks at HOJO instead of the UVA bar? Where is the UVA bar, by the way? I'm open to wherever Thursday night.

Uva bar is smack dab in the middle of the walkway in DTD.

ummm, is there an updated VIP list that I missed? and how do we go about checking in for these.. just tell the CM "yeah I'm part of the VIP tour" ??

And I read something about the parade seating, was this for DL?? Or electrical ? I know a few hyenas were scheduled for Thursday parade and one has already left home.. we are to be her eyes/ears on updates.

Oh! It's that outdoor bar right in the walkway? Are we still on for the UVA bar or are we moving to HOJO? Or should we just plan to meet up at Jazz Kitchen and see where the wind takes us?

I am up with either option for the drink break, since I am there Thursday and Friday. I love UVA so would love to go there!

Honestly as long as I get some of the free demos into my schedule and my VIP tour I don't care what else I get in. I am easy going.

I am excited for you all to go, well to be honest, to report back all the fun you had. Please, please, please post photos of HOJO. We will be staying there in September and I am curious to see how the pool is looking.

grizbuzz . . . . I'm not sure what is happening regarding Thursday (doesn't sound like it is going to work out--if we do a wine and snack it looks like we're looking at Friday)-so stay tuned. I'm sure whoever gets there at 4:45 for Billy Hill will be saving a couple of tables--Chris?

Lesley has the VIP lists. She's having everyone meet in front of the letter C in front of California Adventure at 1:50. I'm sure she'll take it from there.

As for the parade.... you'd also have to ask her. I don't know. She said she was sending out PMs with that info. and didn't really post specifics on the thread.

Hope everyone who is traveling tomorrow has safe flights/drives down to DLR.

Ellen and I will be arriving Friday morning (Flying in with Stacielee). We'll be in the parks around 9:00 or so.

As far as the happy/social hour, I don't really have a preference, but if it takes me away from the parks for a couple hours, I more than likely won't join in. Not much of a drinker to begin with and I really want to spend my time at DL/DCA. If the parks get busy, I wouldn't mind just spending some downtime at the Uva bar or even the bar below Ariel's in DCA (what's the name of that place?? Never been there, but hear it's a nice place for adults)

So, I'll probably see y'all on Friday at 11:30ish at the Blue Bayou to hand out your lanyards. I'll be wearing a teal Alice in Wonderland shirt and my Dis lanyard.

I don't know the exact time they are meeting for the Carnation Cafe meal, but the reservation is for 2:40 so I'd imagine a few minutes before that.

Toocherie/Cheryl will have a list of all the phone numbers, but if you won't be there until Sunday, maybe you should PM her ahead of time for a list you can just print out to take with you.
